Our family has a history of ear infections and wax build-up in our ears. One time our son could not hear well out of one ear so we took him to the doctor. She discovered that our son had a lot of wax build-up, causing a blockage. She did an ear rinse and was able to flush out the blockage. Immediately, our son was able to hear. Over the years, we have worked hard to prevent this from happening again. I had thought of purchasing a scope like the doctors use, so I could keep an eye on it. However, as I was seraching on Amazon, I was surprised to find this otoscope and decided to give it a try. Wow! I had no idea we could get such a clear, and up-close look at the inside of our ears! This will really help a lot in easing our concerns. Now we can take a peek inside our ears to be sure everything is clear and open and have no more wax blockages. This otoscope comes with its own viewer--no need to check for phone compatibility. It is a complete kit, with charging cord, viewer, scope, extra tips, cleaning cloth and box. it also comes with a flash drive, and all is stored in a very nifty storage box with custom slots for everything to fit in, nice and organized. The instructions were not very helpful, but it is pretty user-friendly, so I am not docking any stars for that. I highly recommend this otoscope!

This really deserved my review. In the middle of the pandemic my daughter flat palmed my ear while playing, rupturing my ear drum. Knowing the difficulty of getting an appointment I spent what would be my medical copay for this otoscope. You can clearly see my ruptured ear drum and the progression of the healed ear drum.
I’m not recommending this as a replacement to seeing a doctor but this even impressed my doctor friends that are still using a conventional methods.
Just be sure to really clean the lens after each use which is why some images may come out blurry. The lens is recessed into the platform so I used a qtip and a drop of window cleaner to clean it.

First unit arrived broken. They company went out of their way to make it right. The new unit arrived quickly and works as advertised. Plug and play. The image is very clear and I can show my family what I have been seeing in their ears. I am very satisfied with this device.
