Double vinyl LP pressing. Includes digital download. The Rising is the twelfth studio album by Bruce Springsteen, originally released in July 2002. In addition to being Springsteen's first studio album in seven years, it was also his first with the E Street Band in 18 years. Based in large part on Springsteen's reflections during the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks, the album predominantly centers upon themes of relationship struggles, existential crisis and social uplift. Upon it's release, The Rising was a critical and commercial success, and hailed as the triumphant return for Springsteen. The album also garnered a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album in 2003.

This is just a vinyl of the classic 2002 album. It's nothing new. However I have been transitioning to vinyl for a while now and it seems to sound better. It sounds softer, not as shrill. It just seems like this is the way to listen to it. A direct improvement of sorts.

The new vinyl pressing of this album sounds terrific. 180 gram LP, zero surface noise and consistent across both LPs. Amazon was almost half the price of the local record shop given its a double album. Original copies of this record were hard to find and very expensive. Great job on this reissue

What a treat to be able to buy this album new for under $30. The original pressings are going for $200-500 online so I would never have been able to enjoy these wonderful tracks. It sounds great! It has a super quiet noise floor and great dynamics.

This is one of my favorite albums from any artist. I was a witness to the WTC tragedy on 9/11. I was haunted. Night after night, I listened to this album and felt a little better. Word has it Bruce watched the towers go down sitting on his motorcycle on the Jersey Shore. The album is so spot on for anyone who witnessed this horrific event. The vinyl is revealing- Patti Scialfa’s beautiful background vocals can be heard but unfortunately there are large audible scratchy sounds and I’ll be returning my copy for a replacement. Update- Replacement copy has same scratchy sounds.
