This is hands-down the best sponge holder i've ever used, and I'm not sure how you can get better than this. It's clear that a lot of thought was put in to every aspect of this design. The strong rare earth magnets keep the holder in place. I have bumped it many times on accident, but I've never seen it it fall. However, it's not so strong that you can't remove it if you need to. It's smaller than i expected, but since the space in my sink is limited, I consider this a good thing. It's very unobtrusive, unlike other sponge holders i've used.I've been using this for seven months and I haven't had any issues with rust or mold. The wire design ensures that the holder dries out fast enough that fungus/mold can't develop. I've never had to clean it. Even the magnet is covered by a piece of plastic to make sure those parts can't rust. Rubber rings keep the holder from scratching your tub.Installation was very simple. An adhesive sheet (provided) is placed over the magnet to make sure it doesn't move. Two of these pads are provided if you decide you want it in a different spot, or want to install this in your next home. The only downside to this design is that you can't place the holder wherever you want, or frequently change it's location. To me, and I'm sure many others, this isn't a problem at all.TLDR: Strong magnets, been using for 7 months without rust issues, VERY solid design, doesn't mark my stainless steel sink, can remove it whenever I want. AND the creator is a Dad who got tired of using crappy sponge holders that would mold or stop sticking. Highly recommended.

    I've been using this for over a year now, and can't imagine my sink without it. I have a stainless steel sink, and the magnets were so strong that I didn't have to take off the little sticker from the magnet on the underside of the sink - that means I can move it around the vertical surface of my sink as much as I want.     I love that my sponge or scrubber drips into the sink, no more mess on the edge or in a dish, etc. Wish the magnet was a unique shape so that it held 'upright'. It tends to spin easily if bumped, dropping its contents into the bottom of the sink. Also, be sure to put the outside rear piece as high as possible so the rack is as high as possible. Works well, looking forward to 'more perfectly'. Holds my sponge or crocheted scrubby or scotchbrite. Well packaged, delivered on-time. Would give it 4 3/4 stars if that was possible :-)

    I am the dishwasher and kitchen cleaner in my family, so I care a lot about the accessories living in our kitchen, and I love this thing.

    Our sink previously featured an Oxo Good Grips suction cup sponge holder. I liked it well enough, the suction was good enough to stay on for several days at a time, the styling was nice and the sizing was right on. It became a little more annoying as over time as it got more and more tricky to have it mounted correctly in a way that it would stay suctioned, and then one day, after about 2 and a half years of service, the cup would no longer stick. I originally tried to cheap out and see if some waterproof 3m mounting tape would keep it up, and that lasted less than a day. So I sat down on Amazon to try and find a replacement that I could live with for another 3 years. I ran upon this thing, and did not like the styling, but loved the idea.

    I have to say, this now might be one of my favorite purchases of the last year (yep, that's how you know you're old). This thing locks in place 100% with a satisfying "clink" on my metal basin. I can pull it off to wipe down the entire sink and click it back on without fussing about with a suction cup. It can mount basically _anywhere_, even on a curved surface (I have it in a corner right now). I'm not a scientist, but I'm pretty sure the magnetism is going to last effectively forever.

    I read a few reviews that said "ignore the complicated instructions and just figure it out" and that's what I did -- my undersink area is already kind of imperfect, so the mounting job there didn't matter. I just got a hand on boths sides and clicked the magnets together where I wanted to mount it, and then grabbed some gaffer tape (another favorite product) and taped the back onto the inside of my sink. If you don't have gaffer tape, there's enough stuff that comes with the product that I think you'd be fine -- there's a big aluminum looking piece of tape that I think would serve the same purpose without needing to mess about with the various other sticky bits that come in the box. My tape fell off once or twice (this part is annoying, because then if the inner magnet falls off the sink it can be tricky to find), and I just taped the heck out of it the last time and it's stayed for several weeks. It only takes a few moments so I'm not worried about having to re-do it, and this means I feel good about moving it later too if I change my mind about the location.

    I wish the styling was a little more low profile -- I only need enough to hold a Scotch Brite pad, and this was something the prior Oxo Good Grips model did well. That said, it's small enough and nice enough. Maybe by the time I need to buy another one of these there'll be more options in the market.

It is so easy to attach via the magnet, and it takes up next to no space.
