Never thought I would like "smart things" and actually kind of felt like they were an excuse to be lazy. I decided to give it all a try anyways. My toddler cant reach light switches yet so I put these in her room and in the bathroom. They work wrll and I love that I dont have to stop what I'm doing to go turn on a light for her. She can just tell Alexa to do it Haha! She loves telling her to change the colors too!

1. Q: Cannot connect to Smart Life APP?
A: Check if the connected WiFi is 2.4GHz. If your router broadcasts 2.4GHz and 5GHz network, please completely turn off the 5GHz network by going to your router settings. The device amount connected to the router shouldn’t exceed its load. Try to keep your bulb close to your phone and router as far as possible.
2. Q: The MAC address filtering is opened on your router. How to find the MAC address of your device?
A: Turn off the MAC address filtering, connect your device to Smart Life APP. You can find the MAC address in the Device Information after successful connection.
3. Q: The device cannot connect to Wifi after a period of use. How to reset?
A: Turn on and off the light switch 3 times continuously to reset the bulb or change Easy Mode to AP Mode which is more compatible.
4. Q: Device response delay?
A: Check if the network signal is normal without delay or if the connection between the device and the router is normal. (Check Device Information on Smart Life APP-whether signal strength is weak)
5. Q: The bulb always blinks. Need to be reconnected?
A: DO NOT turn on and off bulb for more than 3 times continuously within 5s, or the bulb will by default enter reset mode.

Step 3: Register and login your "Smart Life" Account. Add Device>Lighting Devices and confirm it on APP.
Step 4: AP mode: Go to the WiFi settings and connect to the hotspot, find "Smart Life-xxx" for connection.

How to Sync with Amazon Alexa?
Step 1: Download Amazon "Alexa" APP, connect Echo with it.
Step 2: Search Alexa Skills for "Smart Life".
Step 3: Enable Skill of "Smart Life", then input your account registered for "Smart Life" APP.
Step 4: Talk to Echo "Alexa, discover devices" until it says "Discover is completed". Begin to control your devices through Echo: "Alexa, turn on/off..."

Needs Patience & Router
Took more than a few dozen attempts to get this to work - no joke! I only contacted the company after so much frustration and doubting anything could be fixed. I didn't follow anything in their email advice because I had already used every troubleshooting method they had suggested before they had even emailed me the suggestions. Finally, I gave it one more go, again sitting right next to the router. It finally worked. If you watch the video you'll see me bringing the camera down believing the connection did not work but it actually did connect. I was surprised and grateful. This was going to be my last attempt and I only took the video so I could send it to the company. Even though customer service was really quick to respond - and late on a Sunday night - I'm giving the product 4 stars for the lame technology in connecting to WIFI. I have high speed fiber optic cable. There should not be an issue connecting to WIFI. Other smart plugs and bulbs have not had this much trouble or taken hours and so many attempts.
