I have several leather motorcycle jacket's, this is the first that has armor. This jacket comes with the elbow shoulder and back plate. I purchased it as I love the leather look and feel but I am wanting a little more protection, I do not heal as quickly as i did in my youth.
Is it the best made jacket, no, is it the best quality leather, no. BUT!!! The jacket does have a good leather, real leather exterior and it is quite thick as well, so should takes some concrete sliding abuse. The added benefit of the armor is a must for me. The comfort level is not as nice as a pure leather jacket as the armor does put some movement stiffness in the shoulder and elbow areas and a bit of thickness.
I will trade the slight armor intrusion for the safety it provides. It looks and feels great and just adds another level of safety.
I would certainly recommend this jacket, The price is just way too inexpensive not to buy this jacket. It is several times less money than some of the leather only jackets.
Great value, good protection, decent comfort and fit. This is just a good allaround purchase.
