What did you like or dislike?
I liked just about everything in this film. It has a strong cast, a good story, solid direction and cinematography (a couple shots wowed me). Bautista and Nanjiani play an odd couple caught up in crime and emotional indecision, and trapped in an Uber rental that feels like Sartre's NO EXIT ("Hell is other people"). Sorvino plays Bautista's supervisor police officer on the take; Uwais is the chief baddie, trained in martial arts similar to parkour, with amazing stunt work; Morales is Bautista's partially estranged daughter, a successful sculptor with family baggage. The film is an actioner punched up with amusing dialogue, a staple of suspense films since the 1930s (THE THIN MAN). What distinguishes this film is its high octane violence and sexual frankness (one sequence is set in the dressing room of a gay strip club), as well as the chemistry of the two leads. Both give breakout performances here, and all actors were well cast. The two men at the heart of the film work out their insecurity, guilt, anger, grievances, and in Bautista's case toxic masculinity. I found it refreshing from beginning to end.

Fun but not terribly funny.
Ok action/comedy that works best during the action scenes. The trailer gives you the impression that it’s a laugh riot. Sadly the humour is the weakest part of the movie. For a 93 minute flick it feels padded. There’s a lengthy sequence featuring the two leads fighting in a closed store that just goes on for too long. Don’t pay full price for it.J. MissonFun but not terribly funny.
