Product Description

Stu (Kumail Nanjiani) is an ordinary Uber driver. Vic Manning (Dave Bautista) is a no-nonsense LAPD detective determined to take down Oka Tedjo (Iko Uwais), the drug lord who killed his partner. When Vic recruits the reluctant Stu to drive him around on his mission of vengeance, the unlikely duo embarks on a series of wild and hilarious misadventures as they work together to bring Tedjo to justice. Natalie Morales, Mira Sorvino, and Karen Gillan co-star in this outrageous mix of action and comedy.

Actioner with a finger on the pulse of manhood.
STUBER (2019) 20th Century Fox, 93 minutesDirector: Michael Dowse; Script writer: Tripper Clancy; Cinematographer: Bobby ShoreStarring: Dave Bautista, Kumail Nanjiani; Costarring: Mira Sorvino, Iko Uwais, Natalie MoralesWhat did you like or dislike?I liked just about everything in this film. It has a strong cast, a good story, solid direction and cinematography (a couple shots wowed me). Bautista and Nanjiani play an odd couple caught up in crime and emotional indecision, and trapped in an Uber rental that feels like Sartre's NO EXIT ("Hell is other people"). Sorvino plays Bautista's supervisor police officer on the take; Uwais is the chief baddie, trained in martial arts similar to parkour, with amazing stunt work; Morales is Bautista's partially estranged daughter, a successful sculptor with family baggage. The film is an actioner punched up with amusing dialogue, a staple of suspense films since the 1930s (THE THIN MAN). What distinguishes this film is its high octane violence and sexual frankness (one sequence is set in the dressing room of a gay strip club), as well as the chemistry of the two leads. Both give breakout performances here, and all actors were well cast. The two men at the heart of the film work out their insecurity, guilt, anger, grievances, and in Bautista's case toxic masculinity. I found it refreshing from beginning to end. What did you use this product for?For escapist entertainment, but also to witness two individuals trapped in personal hells that they help each other out of. It's a film with a heart.

Lots of physical and situational humor which is highlighted by the two main characters being total opposites in every way I’ve seen it 4 times now!

There were a couple LOL Moments! Great Writing and Acting and filming!!! I hate it when you don't have these 3 things but it had it all. Plus they Had to Go To Long Beach hahahhaah That also was a 5 STAR Earner. :0) I would give it 4 because it Is not a Movie that you Must watch over and over and over again But enjoyable in My Book. It made me smile and laugh a couple times. But Also Stu Worked really hard to get his 5 STARS so i just have to give this one 5 STARS hehehehehehe. I could see my Self watching this again. So I do recommend it to others. I was doing a Deep Clean and Reorganize of My apartment Kitchen and decided this would be the Movie to watch on my breaks here and there. So Yes I will be watching again :0)

Il film è simpatico e Bautista ci sta bene. Tempi di consegna impeccabili, 3 stelle solo perché il bluray non è in italiano mentre il 4k si, andrebbe meglio specificato da amazon.

Ok action/comedy that works best during the action scenes. The trailer gives you the impression that it’s a laugh riot. Sadly the humour is the weakest part of the movie. For a 93 minute flick it feels padded. There’s a lengthy sequence featuring the two leads fighting in a closed store that just goes on for too long. Don’t pay full price for it.
