Update: I reached out to the company and they made up for the dried paint by offering to replace it!

This really annoyed my family. It’s little things; the instruction layout which for some reason we all individually read top to bottom and then realized it’s actually left to right lol and then getting confused half way through because we again all wanted to read top to bottom for some reason, having to clip off *every* little bit of the letters in order for them to fit into the letter holder, the clay just being short of filling the mold so it’s impossible to roll out a smooth surface, the anxiety of trying to get baby’s hand imprinted without the clay drying too much, trying to guess how much clay is enough for it to not crack while being light enough to hang on a Christmas tree, etc…

Overall it’s a great price, everything needed was included (sans scissors but who doesn’t have scissors), and it was easy to do. The craft is simple at its core, it was just annoying and anxiety inducing.

The biggest downside was that the paint was dry, even when ripped open, so we had to buy some craft paint separately at a local store. Also, I was wondering how everyone was painting their letters because they are so tiny! We used a 4/0 brush and it worked, but was so annoying that I don’t think it was worth it.

Don‘T get discouraged by reviews saying the product is dried out. - when you first take the clay out of the package it’s dry and hard, but if you read the instructions it says you have to knead the clay- this step is crucial! The longer you knead the softer and more pliable it gets. I kneaded the clay for about 10 minutes and after that, it was so soft and easy to work with.

I HIGHLY recommend this. They turned out super cute and don’t even need to be painted.
