- Reviewed in the United States on January 11, 2021I ate these right out of the oven so thought they were moist and delicious. I agree they were missing a little flavor. I think I will add some salt next time. The bag makes a large batch. I am going to just make half or less of the bag next time so that they will be fresh baked. They would be prefect for an egg mc muffin. I had them for dinner with taco fixings instead of tortillas...it was very satisfying. I am thinking about adding some other flavorings or herbs and see how they hold up.
Another reviewer said they were gluten free. The bag I purchased did not say that. The ingredients say " enzyme enriched wheat, vital wheat gluten" etc so I don't think you can assume they are gluten free. Are there two different manufacturers of this product?
Anyway, while I usually avoid gluten, these are my new "go to" biscuits for breakfast and a variety of other meals.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 16, 2021I gave this a try expecting it to have a heavy almond flour taste and I was pleasantly surprised it didn't and was actually tasty. Pretty easy to mix, ball up, and bake. It baked longer than recommended, but that could be a function of my oven. Biscuits don't rise since there is no flour and yeast so you have to keep the ball you seperate and roll up not so flat. Laid out on the baking sheet too flat and you will end up with biscuits that look more like cookies. My first batch I forget to put an egg wash on the top. Second time I made I did not. Don't know that I could tell a difference in taste or whether the egg wash help brown the top???? Makes 10, so takes a few days for my wife and I to go through them, but surprising they stay well in a zip lock bag in the fridge. We just warm up in the toaster and enjoy. Anyways, I have these on a subscription and recommend them to any on a Keto diet that loves biscuits with the breakfast.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 3, 2019I don’t miss bread, but what else goes perfectly with Irish butter? These biscuits neither smell nor taste like a homemade southern biscuit, however, it is a very satisfying keto biscuit. Another reviewer complained about a dry taste and texture, and that is certainly an appropriate description. However, if you accompany this biscuit, appropriately buttered, with your favorite breakfast beverage, you may, like me, be able to overlook the dryness. I cooked the mixture in two batches. After tasting the first biscuit, I determined that I would attempt to add butter to the leftover mixture, expecting it to give some additional moisture to the batter in order to combat that dryness. I believe the flavor improved, but it did not conquer the dryness. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my biscuits with butter, with gravy, with chicken, and definitely believe that accompanied with an appropriate beverage to aid in swallowing them, these biscuits are an excellent keto version of the southern “drop biscuit”. I would ask the makers of this product to work on that dryness and that may improve the flavors bit. Using the Paleo flour mix by Bobs Red Mill makes an excellent biscuit, but the number of eggs one would need to add to make the biscuits keto ruin them by making them overly “eggy”. Other Keto biscuit mixes just do not compare to the flavor of this mix (buttered appropriately). I will purchase again and will add butter to the entire mixture. Combatting the dryness of the flavor will only make it perfect.
I also wanted to address the question about this being a gluten-free product. This product is made of hydrolized wheat, which means that there is no gluten in this flour. The package clearly reads that it is safe for celiacs and a simple review of the list of the ingredients says it’s made with hydrolized wheat flour. I am not a celiac, but as I didn’t know what hydrolized meant, I looked it up. So, the reviewer who has stated that this is not a gluten-free product is incorrect.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 23, 2021Keto Butter Biscuit mix @nutrailofficial. I purchased this after a friend raved about it. It is pricey for a small package.
The package photo shows a true biscuit shape like when you roll out dough and cut into a biscuit shape. The directions are more like a drop biscuit. The reviews on Amazon were mixed and it seems the recipe was changed hence the reason the reviewers were unhappy.
I am not strict keto and on Dirty lazy keto so grain substitutes are OK.
I probably will not purchase this again. This may work for a keto newbie. I followed the directions as directed and they were not too dry. They taste like almond flour even though I sifted the mix like I would when making any recipe with almond flour. This is not the texture of a southern style biscuit.
I can use my own almond flour to make this same style drop biscuit but I would add cheese or sour cream to make them fluffy.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2022I made these and was pleasantly surprised because I find most keto bread type products to not taste so good. However, these smell and taste delicious. I did find they had a slight sweetness to them which I attributed to the coconut flour used in them but it's not overpowering. I made an egg, cheese and bacon sandwich with one and it was great. The texture is definitely more crumbly and delicate than "real" biscuits, but I didn't mind. They were very easy to make. I followed the baking directions and it made 6 biscuits. I'm assuming there's enough in the pack to make another batch. I'll be buying these again.
