For me it's a bit of an experiment for some medical conditions I have. I won't go into what I have because it's too early and don't want to suggest it as viable treatment for others. However, I did notice some effects in the currently short time I've used it. I used a recommended dosage I found that was smaller than the package suggests. I notice a bit of sleepiness which I thought was a side effect (but good one), but many do use GABA for sleep. I was more interested the calming effects.
As far as dosage, I could imagine someone trying GABA for whatever reason and running into issues of over consumption as some pills are high dosed and getting the opposite effect they're looking for. Too much GABA can lead to anxiety and other unwanted effects.

This GABA powder is potent and effective, but the packaging sucks. Be careful when you cut it open on the side; the powder grains instantly spilled out all over the table and there's no way to reseal the package. I encapsulated this GABA in a homemade sleep & relaxation supplement, and it truly works to calm the brain and help you drift off. This is a good quality natural supplement that I would recommend- if the packaging were more secure and resealable.
