I only recently installed this outdoors in a dusk-to-dawn security light, so I cannot speak to longevity yet. This light bulb seems to be well built and puts out a proportionate amount of light for the power consumed. Be advised that the color temp of the light may be bluer than most people might expect or are accustomed to. I educated myself on color temperatures, having recently retrofit my home for all LED lights. My indoor lights are in the 3000K to 4000K range. For outdoor lighting, I would have preferred something in the 4500K to 5000K range, which is a whiter light. I knew the 6500K color would would be heading into the blue end of the spectrum, but settled on this bulb mainly due to its price. Another thing to note is that each LED chip "kernel" is still distinctly (individually) visible when lit. This is no different from most other "corn cob' lights. You will see a cluster of smaller lights in the fixture, rather than "one" light. It's just something a person who has seen the world illuminated by incandescent, fluorescent and halogen lights his entire life will have to adjust to.

    These are a little large in girth so you need some room in the light fixture. I am using mine outdoors on the patio. It is not fully protected and has gotten wet in the rain. So far it is still working fine. The light output I am getting is very good. I like the color/hue of the light it casts and it is easy on my eyes, no harshness to the light. I've only been using it for a few months so I have no feedback to offer regarding its longevity, but if it lasts for a few years I would buy it again.

Then 2 weeks later another bulb did the same thing. Willing to give the manufacturing company a benefit of their quality statement and based on other reviews I decided to order additional replacement bulbs. I received the new bulbs on the 22nd of November 2022 and replaced all of the old bulbs. Yesterday Jan 3rd, 2023, I noticed that one of the new bulbs had lost all light over 1/2 of the surface area just the same as the previous bulbs. Impossible to contact the seller so here I am stuck with very poor-quality corn lights. I will search for a new supplier because when the bulbs are working, they light up my entire driveway. Worthless is all I can say about the Auzilar brand of light bulbs. See photos.
