Giving Back Our love for our mothers MAria and Isa (MAI) inspired our brand. Love keeps us going. Love means sharing. Back when we started in 2017, one of our first “business” meetings was in a cancer hospital for children in Guatemala. There we saw how children and parents struggle through this process. We thought we could help them and so we did. Every year we donate clothing for different non-profit organizations and charities. What we get in return is more than we can ask for: a smile.

This high-quality shirt is worth the investment if you are having any sort of procedure in which your mobility is compromised or you need access to certain body parts. I have used this for a labral tear, rotator cuff, and bicep tendon surgery recoveries and am incredibly glad I had these. As a female-bodied person, I wish this cut came in an XS for aesthetics reasons (they do have a "woman's" version with terrible sleeves) but I end up liking the extra room and comfort. Snaps are sturdy and the fabric is so soft. Don't hesitate to buy- make your recovery easier!

    After rotator cuff repair surgery I realized I'd seriously not understood the wardrobe limitations of the immobilization sling. So I ordered 5 different ones I could find on Amazon. This shirt was the clear winner and I've ordered 5 more.

    Why is this shirt the best?

    1. Comfort. This is the softest, It fits well. Even after a long day and the discomfort of a sling this shirt feels good. The fabric is lighter weight than most others, which helps it breathe better and feel smooth.

    2. Looks. These small snaps and the design make for a sleek, low-profile joint, unlike clunky Velcro that just doesn't look as good, IMO. Overall this shirt can pass as a stylish t-shirt I'd wear every day. Also it's a crew neck, and I need to wear this to a business casual office. I can get away with this, where the v-necks don't work.

    3. Ease. The snaps have the right amount of tension - they aren't so tight that it's difficult to separate them when taking the shirt off (with just one hand, remember!)

    4. Durability. The snaps work easily, and there's a nice reinforcing backing, so the snaps don't tear out of the garment - a problem with a different shirt that has metal snaps.

    My only wish is that there were more color options, since I'm going to be wearing this shirt daily for 3 months. Instead I will be known at work as grey t-shirt guy.

    When my husband wore this shirt to his dr's followup after surgery--his dr was more interested in the shirt than the wound! It was ok. As a shoulder doc, he said he had so many patients who could use this kind of shirt. The shirt has a billion little snaps ( ok, an exaggeration, but it feels like it)...but they're small, stay attached until you want them open, then they open with minimal pull. They're not like the metal snaps that will rip off the garment with one pull.

    I bought my husband a size larger than he wears and he loved its looseness and comfortable fabric. I decided he needed another as we live in TX and, even using these just for going out, one was definitely not enough. I ordered his regular size and I thought it looked terrific. Perfect fit! I decided on getting him a third shirt and he asked me what it cost. He's always given me a hard time if I spent what he' s thought was too much and I thought, "here we go again..."

    He just said, "whatever they cost--I don't know what I'd do without them. But this time, order the size larger again. ". I told him he regular size was a better fit but he insisted the size larger was easier for him to work with.

    We're on his sixth shirt now, and have all three colors. I like them all. The color of the fabric is mellow (these are not underwear shirts). I will admit that I put the shirts on him--they would still be hard if he had to put them on himself. But what a lifesaver!! We both love them and the quality is worth the money. The number of perfect snaps, the beautiful soft fabric, the comfort of wearing because of the thought put into this product make this shirt worth the money. We' re just not used to it but are happy to be able to get something like this and want to give the company its well deserved kudos!

    I recently had a total shoulder joint replacement wearing the shirt home from the Same Day Surgery center. Both my surgeon and three nurses remarked what a find it was...easy to use, versatile given it large, e-z snaps on both sides, and very comfortable. Yes, a bit pricey but you'll forget about that after the first use, its so easy to use post op. I highly recommend it, as did my medical staff.

If you have trouble with your fingers you may struggle with the snaps - there are a ton of them and they are tiny.

    Purchased this for my hubby, who had rotator cuff surgery. He wore the day of surgery and it worked very well. The nurse was impressed with the shirt and indeed made it easy to get him dressed after surgery, especially because he couldn’t really move his arm, was out of it, and both the medical dressing and post-surgery swelling would’ve made putting a regular shirt on difficult. The shirt has a lot of snap closures which take a while to snap close (doing it over…. I’d consider the shirt w/magnetic closures). I knocked off one star only because my guy is 6-3 and these shirts don’t come in tall, so the length was a bit short on him.

    I LOVE this shirt for my husband, who recently had shoulder surgery, and is in a sling for 6 weeks. It is extremely soft and fits perfectly for someone who has one. Yes, there are a lot of buttons, but I think it needs to be so there are no big visible gaps. That being said they don't come undone easily. I was worried when I read they were plastic snap buttons but the plastic is actually very strong and not cheap at all. I've never had one come undone. Super easy to return also if you order the wrong size. Only critique is I wish there were more colors. The light gray we felt would show any spills easily. I wish they had darker colors like a dark green, dark gray (instead of light), maroon, etc.

    Brilliant top purchased for mum for has had shoulder surgery. Top completely separates and was very welcome in the hospital for dressing mum. Expensive, however hard to find anything else like this. Washes great. If it was cheaper I would have purchased many more.
