Well organized publication and tasty recipes!

Well organized publication and tasty recipes!
This is an excellent subsequent book to the other three they have out. I’ve only had it for a few days and already made some of the best food of my life in short order and even a friend, who can’t stand Mexican rice, loved the Mexican Cauliflower rice along with the pulled pork. It is laid out in easy sections depending on event you’d like to host or invited to attend with at least one main entree, complementary sides and “dessert” that are compliant. Each section features a different chef/blogger’s creations so it offers versatility and change of palate perspective so it’s not a flavor reiteration throughout the entire book. My only criticism is a few of the recipes are entirely too complicated or require special ingredients not found in an average grocery market. If a diet is to be sustainable then the ingredients/staples need to be available to the general public of every socioeconomic level and standard pantry items. We just finished our whole 30 program on August 30 and this book was my go to. I’m not great with side dishes and this had so many ideas that were fun and kid friendly. I definitely haven’t used every recipe in the book, but I’ve used quite a few. Now that we’re done with the whole 30, we’re still using the cookbook because it helps make eating healthy easy and quick. I would definitely recommend if you are like me not sure what to make with your main dishes. Favorite recipe: potato blts. Even my 9 year old asks for those with almost every meal. Also this book introduced me to plantains! So many pictures and easy to follow instructions.

So far I have made the peppery pecan chicken drumsticks (pg 8) and they were amazing! Even my Mom, who doesn't eat meat often, liked them. I served them with the roasted sweet potato soup (pg 201). That was delicious too! All good! Excellent balance of flavors. I served the cinnamon-toasted oranges with pistachios (pg 14), which I fully expected not to like, but ended up loveing! I served this all with cranberry-pear rooibos iced tea, which was delicious but we all agreed we wanted some bubbles. So I topped it with some kambucha and that was exactly what we wanted!
I've made the chicken asparagus roll ups (pg 59), I really liked those!
I've enjoyed the mocktail mule (pg 75) daily.
Chilled coconut-almond butter bananas (pg 85) were the perfect afternoon snack for my kids and I.
Lime-garlic hot wings with chile sauce (pg 91) were good but nothing I will hurry to make again. Same with the Cajun-rubbed chicken wings (pg 220) good but needed something, in my opinion.
My children and I loved loved loved the basil balsamic cucumber bites. I want to eat those all day, everyday.
The winner of all. So. Good. Will make these forever more Whole30 or not. The bacon wrapped turkey jalepeno poppers (pg 88). Amazing. My husband raved about them and my children are them. Very good.

There are so many great recipes to try in this cookbook. Usually for the Whole30 cookbooks I only find 6-7 recipes I know I would make, but this one had SO MANY. And genuinely great options for get togethers with other people. I’m SO excited to try them. Quite a few are very simple too, which I also love.

This cookbook is AMAZING! I have so much anxiety about holiday cooking and how to participate without over indulging and feeling crappy later. This cookbook has all the solutions. And like most of the Whole30 recipes these ones are simple and manageable for me! I’m so excited for the holidays when I can bring something to share with my friends and family!
