- Reviewed in the United States on November 10, 2020Coming For You: A dark psychological thriller, my second read from author Kristi Belcamino. My first was Taste of Vengeance (Gia Santella #4.5) was set in the Sydney Rye universe. I'm a Sydney Rye fan & that got me to read the book, now I'm a Kristi Belcamino fan as well although Gia often seems like more of a victim than a heroine the writing was so good that I'll read more of Belcamino's writings. Well written & enjoyable, a captivating tale that takes unexpected twists & turns, always keeping the reader engaged and guessing until the book’s end. I bought a Kindle copy back in March 2019 & then bought this audiobook in June of the same year. Narrator Chelsea Stephens’ outstanding narration made a great book even better! Now I'm voluntarily reading & reviewing it because every great book needs reviews. I'll definitely be reading more from this author(RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
- Reviewed in the United States on March 4, 2019What an awesome thriller! It takes place in Minneapolis, Minnesota, among a group of friends. This group of friends is comprised of three couples, each having a daughter preparing to enroll in college, who are best friends. All the characters are so well-developed, you feel as though you actually know them yourself. The story is written in a first-person style, but two people are telling it. The time frame flips from month to month, and takes place in 1980 & 2017; however, it isn't confusing because it clearly states who is telling the story at any given time.
At the very beginning of the story one of the girls is murdered, and the mother is consumed with grief and Vengeance – she wants so badly to find & kill the person responsible. This novel is so filled with
secrets and darkness. The ending will leave you spellbound – you won't see it coming! This is so terrific. I urge everyone to go out and get a copy of “Coming for You” by Kristi Belcamino.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 25, 2019I received this book as a free promotional copy.
I’ve enjoyed everything from this author that I’ve read.
I found this book to be much creepier then the author’s other books, and I mean that in aa good way. Indeed suspenseful, it seems a realistic telling of a situation many families fear.
Really, a pretty scary book, despite starting with some enjoyable characters whose psychology is well revealed.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 7, 2023I love Kristi's books. This one was more a true mystery than just a bad-ass woman. I went through a gamet of speculations as the side-by-side chapters of Katecans Sophia unfolded. A good read, but not quite as gripping as the Gia series.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2019This story is about so much more than some reviews I've read. I hate spoilers so I'll only say - it concerns a mother, daughter, husband, friends, grandparents, neighbors, police and how one reacts to life tragedies, be it truth or lies. And yes, there is tragedy. It's a intense drama, & it makes you think about how you'd react to circumstances beyond your control. Highly suspenseful, knuckle biting and I stayed up all night to finish it. The characters are so believable and some a little creepy (as everyone knows one person like that). This author, Kristi Belcamino is a treasure. I ADORE all her Gia books (the best kick-ass character) and although this book is different, it's well written & has special characters too. You won't be sorry you read this!!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 1, 2019Coming For You is an awesome read. Sofia Kennedy's daughter has been murdered and she vows to find her murderer.
"Where ever you are hiding, I will find you. And I will make you pay.....I am coming for you." Through twists and turns through time present and past lives, the story unfolds keeping you intrigued and guessing. Rivaling Tess Gerritsen, Kristi takes us along for a exciting ride ? Adding thrills and chills, as we follow along in the search led by Sofia. Where is Kate's murderer hiding? Who will believe her? The clues are there and they must be found .
Keeping us guessing as we pick up bits and pieces trying to find the murderer too. What a wonderful0l and exciting read! Couldn't put it down Best yet Kristi.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 16, 2021After her daughter's homicide a woman is determined to bring the killer to justice. To do so she must come to terms with her past, her lineage and cope with crushing grief. But the web of betrayal leads her to familiar territory.
This is a fast paced story with a main character you care about. Sofia is strong and smart if a bit over the top. The story is narrated by Sofia and her daughter and jumps from time and place. Quick and entertaining read.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 19, 2019any dislike I had for this novel is on ME, not the writer.....I got this book looking for the thriller it was billed to be, even the cover had me thinking a bada$$ lady with a past coming for revenge, only to find it a mere mystery....not a thriller, just a who-done-it...but I WILL say it was very well written and that alone kept me until the end....mother (Sophia) had a past with secrets and I couldn't wait to find out how it played in....book was full of "flash backs" but even those were easy to follow and I love the way it panned out....my "looking for a thriller" was on me, perhaps I bought it because of the reviews, can't remember, but to those that love a page turner, this is the book for you....but if you're looking for the female jack reacher, won't find it here..

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Emotional Subject.
Very powerful story about a murderer child. Sofia, the mother, is a strong character, absolutely determined to find her daughter's murderer. The story jumps back and forth between now and Sofia's childhood. The story keeps the reader guessing about who the killer is and I was quite surprised by who it turned out to be. I will reading more books by this author, she is very good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Belcamino doesn’t disappoint
I love the strong women in her books - young and old - and this one doesn’t disappoint! This book had me staying up late and forcing myself to put it down and get some sleep. There are twists and things you won’t expect. Mother’s intuition is a powerful thing and one not to be ignored as you’ll see when you read this book. I liked most of the characters but not Jason...not at all. He’s weak and that’s not attractive. A great read that will make you need an extra shot of espresso in the morning. Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars A one night read!
I absolutely loved this stand alone thriller! And best of all is the Giovanni connection; I've been hoping we would get back to Gabriella one day. Once again Kristi's writing kept me up past my bedtime so I could finish this great read. I hope there are more stories to come from the Castelluci and Giovanni famiglie
