    I really don't understand how this band is not huge. Yes, you've heard their songs in commercials but that's a gross under representation of this band's capabilities. Anyway, Sons is another wonderful album from The Heavy but is slightly less varied than their previous albums relying much more on funkier grooves and less on the harder hitting songs (though Heavy For You is a great exception). Can't wait to see them June 11th in Brooklyn (their only East Coast stop on this tour).

    So the music itself is classic "The Heavy." If you're a fan, you know what to expect and it's all there from the beats to the horns. The 2 things that keep this from being a 5 star rating is that the mix seems "hot" or "too loud" on the vinyl. I almost bet that this was simply the digital version pressed to vinyl and there wan't a separate mix for it. I can't play this record as loud as others without it seeming to "top out" and lose it's clarity. That's a shame. Second, after purchasing the physical copy, there is no download card or code included in the LP. This is a shocker as most every other LP from the band had one. There is also no Amazon "AutoRip" so if you want to take this LP with you, you'll have to rip the vinyl yourself and convert it. in 2019, that's not something I would think I'd have to do on my own, especially when buying what has now become the most expensive format of the music. No love for fans of vinyl.

Macht richtig Spaß ihnen zuzuhören. Die Schallplatte ist super verarbeitet und der klang ist spitze. Einziger Wermutstropfen es liegt kein Downloadcode für eine Digitale Version bei. Auch erhält man es nicht bei Amazon AutoRip automatisch in digitaler Form.
