DVD/Blu-ray/2CD package of Pet Shop Boys breath-taking show 'Inner Sanctum', filmed at London's Royal Opera House during a sold-out run in 2018 summer. The iconic duo's acclaimed production, first presented at the Royal Opera House in 2016 over four sold-out shows, was reprised at the venue for a further four nights in July 2018 as part of their 'Super' tour. Staged by long-term PSB designer Es Devlin and choreographer/director Lynne Page, the show was filmed by director David Barnard. Filmed on 27 and 28 July 2018, the full-length film on DVD and Blu-ray is accompanied by two CDs of the complete audio of the live show plus a bonus feature of PSB live at Rock in Rio, which was recorded on 17 September 2017 at the Brazilian festival.The 'Inner Sanctum' production won rave reviews for a musical and visual extravaganza which brought lasers, dazzling choreography and immersive visuals and stage design to the ornate surroundings of the Royal Opera House for an electrifying show. The set-list featured contemporary PSB material from their last two albums 'Super' and 'Electric' mixed with many PSB's classic hits from their peerless back catalogue including 'Love comes quickly', 'West End girls', 'It's a sin', 'Go West' and 'Always on my mind'.

First off, I know M=O=N=S=T=E=R=O=U=S stuff when I see/hear it! Being a man of years-and-years of experience----which reminds me ----I've actually BEEN to Pet Shop Boys... and Jimi Hendrix' Experience concerts, for THAT matter.I have this in my Amazon' shopping basket. The PET SHOP BOYS have a number of MY favorite musical memories containedin this collection which will be on MY shelves... right next to my 5.1 Surround Sound Hendrix; Doors; & Moody BluesM=U=S=I=C.I notice that, today, my helpful-vote totals 6666: Hmmm!

    As a big fan who had to miss the Super tour in 2016 due to unfortunate circumstances I'm glad this Bluray is available for me to experience the concert. Last saw them in LA for the Pandemonium tour in '09 and the Fundamental tour in '06.

    The Bluray video and sound quality is top-notch, looks and sounds great on my 4K surround sound setup. The packaging however is a serious letdown. I know physical media is no longer popular and it's better for the environment if there's less plastic. It's literally just 4 thin flimsy cardboard sleeves folded together as one.

    I keep most of my PSB discs separate from the cases in a big 100 disc case logic binder (yes those still exist and I actually have over 100 PSB discs) so it's not an issue with keeping the discs mint. The cases I store on a bookshelf in my office. PSB singles now pretty much just come in a single cardboard sleeve these days so I'm disappointed that the packaging has been on the decline for years. This is the group that gave us the "Lego" case and also the cool frosted lettering on the Bilingual case!

    I attended the Salt Lake City show with my son, who is an avid concertgoer of EDM shows. He really liked this concert and said the lasers were better than nearly all EDM festivals and big shows. The laser colors are very cool. I really liked the live concert as well, and I had been to 3 previous PSB concerts. Any of their concerts are well worth their relatively-low asking prices.
    The packaging is beautiful, but a bit awkward when trying to remove the disks. I now keep the disks in their own sleeves to keep them pristine. The blu-ray video appears clear, and the DTS-Master Audio did it's job correctly. I did not find any problems with the disk or presentation.
    Thank you PSB for releasing a concert on Blu-ray with excellent quality surround sound. Please revisit your previous concerts and release them on blu-ray.
    To all other musical artists: Please release concerts on blu-ray, or 4K blu-ray. If you think streaming is "good enough" or equal in quality, compare the total bits on a disc to a download - it is a huge difference, often a 10-to-1 ratio!

    Some of the music from the Inner Sanctum is quite forgettable but, PSB manages to make them quite enjoyable and entertaining by sheer ENERGY, catchy interesting hooks and mixing classics in the repertoire. As much as I enjoy their other concert DVDs, the quality of the bluray is outstanding and it was a pleasure to see them in HD. The "The Pop Kids/In the Night/Burn" track is fantastic.

    Do yourself a favor and if you can't see them live, get these region free blurays and see a contemporary cultural icon that is the PSB.

    Great concert by the pop duo that hasn't stopped since the 80s. Two hour London concert from 2018 with a bonus outdoor 2017 concert in Rio. New hits from their 2016 album are creatively performed with hits from most of their previous albums going back to the 80s.

    For $15, this Pet Shop Boys release is a great value. You get 4 discs - 2 CDs, 1 DVD, 1 Blu-ray. The concert is excellent, incorporating new and classic tracks, as well as a few remix versions of classic tracks. My only complaint would be that the Rock In Rio concert is only provided on the video discs.
