----
A profound and practical blueprint for aligning daily life with your menstrual cycle.
Period Power is the handbook to periods and hormones that will leave you wondering why the hell nobody told you this sooner.
The hormones of the menstrual cycle profoundly influence our energy, mood and behaviour, but all too often we're taught that our hormones make us unreliable, moody bitches, or that it's our lot in life to put up with 'women's problems'. Maisie Hill, a women's health practitioner, knows the power of working with the menstrual cycle and refuses to accept this theory. Instead, Maisie believes that our hormones are there to serve us and, if utilized correctly, can be used to help you get what you want out of life. Yes, we are hormonal, and that's a very good thing.
This revolutionary book reveals everything you need to know about taking control of your menstrual cycle and outlines The Cycle Strategy to help us perform at our best, throughout our cycle. In Period Power you will discover how to:
- Maximise your natural superpowers each month while making adjustments for the darker days, and use Maisie's favourite tips to improve them
- Identify your personal patterns, powers and pitfalls for each phase of the menstrual cycle
- Plan your month to perform at your best in all aspects of your life
- Figure out if you have a hormonal imbalance and what to do about it
Period Power is a no-nonsense guide with all the tools you need to improve your menstrual health.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2024I have recommended this book to so many female friends. I am 22 and within the past year have come off my BC pills. I was looking for an informational book to help me kickstart this new chapter and this book was perfect. It was a perfect balance between educational, some points of humorous spunk, and testimonial. I never once felt like the author was forcing facts/opinions down my throat but was rather presenting the information and allowing the reader to make their own choices from that. At certain points, she would outline various next-step options, but it was always educationally, never forcefully.
I appreciated the layout of the information and found it very easy to put down and pick up again. Love!

- Reviewed in the United States on November 25, 2024I recommend this book to all females. It’s very helpful when it comes to understanding your period, and what’s going on and why. I finally got to learn about my flow and why I’d feel a certain way during times of my cycles.
I only wish that I’d known about this sooner. And I hope this information becomes more widespread in the future.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 16, 2022This book informed me and gave me true knowledge and power to work with instead of against my body. Had so much information and I don’t know how many times I found myself thinking or saying “ I wish I would have known this is my early twenties” here I am hitting 40 and finally learning how my body works. Who knew the clitoris was so large? Wtf? I used the tracking cycle suggestion and it was truly such a game changer for me. Love this book. Recommended to all the kar in my life with a cycle
- Reviewed in the United States on June 6, 2024I honestly thought this book with be more professional. It is marketed as a medical book for women and it is written as one. There is good information in here however it is not enough and it is not as detailed as I thought it would be. The author also imposes a lot of her own political views such as her views on LGBT which I think could have been left out or placed in a separate book. I was looking for a medical reading not a political one. That being said she also runs into other topics that do not relate to cycle syncing such as issues with African Americans and the medical community. I mean these are good topics to talk about but why not put them in another book. I feel like everything is just smushed together. If these things were left out and added with more information about cycle syncing then I think the book would be much better. I honestly would not recommend it. There are way better and informative books on periods and cycle syncing out there.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 8, 2023This book changed my life. Everyone needs to read it. I can’t stress it enough. I never knew any of this and I finally feel in control of my body, empowered, aware of my seasons. Even my boyfriend is reading it next to understand my hormones better too.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 13, 2023Every woman should read this book! So well written and informative. Very easy to understand even with no science background. LIFE CHANGING book for women!
