- Reviewed in the United States on November 27, 2018This book is Part Four of the Davenant Institute's modernization of Richard Hooker. Just like the previous three, the quality is superb. These books have been my first exposure to Hooker's writings, and I have devoured them as each new volume is released. If you enjoyed the others, this is just as good. This particular volume helped me better understand the Anglican approach to reforming the church, and also offered a timely example for navigating complex theological disputes. Perhaps my favorite lines: "Let us not presume to condemn as follies the things which the long experience of all ages has proven profitable, just because we do not always know the reason for them."
