Honestly I haven't heard many bad things but no one seems to talk about this film. I remember watching it and I didn't think of as bad at all. Not anything spectacular but not bad either but just wanted to lay everything out as a full collection. While looking at this now I'm realizing there's possibly one more DCA related thing that I need to get. It's never quite done....

(Edited to remove a comment that was not appropriate because I rented this from Red Box, not Amazon.)
I don't ordinarily enjoy Justice League films, as they tend to degenerate into fight scenes where either each member in turn takes on the villain or different members take on different villains, but this one poses a mystery for them to solve and no less than two newbies, one with PTSD issues. For me, this makes it very satisfying.
Less satisfying was the BD, with it's weird menu. I am used to DVD menus, and don't expect to buy enough BDs to adapt. But the BD /did/ have two additional documentaries, plus two TV show episodes (which I skipped).
One of those pounded the old "Wonder Woman as inspiration" drum, but the Green Lantern in this one would be a much better choice. After all, as displayed here, what does Wonder Woman tell young girls? I suggest she says "if you have big boobs, dress in gym shorts, and show cleavage, the boys will let you play with them". Green Lantern, OTOH, while fully clothed at all times, shows courage, determination, and undeniable acceptance as a member.

Great animation and colour. 4k is very good, but bluray is enough for animation I think. I bough the 4k because this includes latin spanish language and subtitles. The bluray on this version also.

Set supposedly in the JSU universe which was the original animated DC universe from batman to superman and justice league/unlimited... a hefty place to be set and it is not terrible. That they changed out Jon Stewart and J'onn J'onzz for Miss Martian and Jessica Cruz was meh. She isn't my least favorite of the Lantarns and giving her a chnace in her own movie not a terrible idea... just it wasn't as good here. THe movie is average and trying to balance itself ain't that great. Still an improvement over Apokalipse War.

The 4K is sharp, vibrant, with brilliant colors even when projected onto a 120" wall screen. The 4K details enhance the nonstop action. Viewed projected in 4K onto a large wall screen with full surround sound turned up, it's an immersive, roller coaster ride! It's worth watching several times just for the spectacle. Bravo!

The blockheads at IGN gave this a 7.5 so I went in with low expectations, hoping for good animation at a minimum. I was blown away. The animation was excellent (very much in the Justice League Unlimited style, only improved) the voice acting (with Conroy, Eisenberg and Newbern) was terrific, and the story was great. Plus they introduce a boatload of new characters to the JL universe, some heroes some villains, all with new and interesting backgrounds and powers. If this is the direction DC animation is heading in the future looks bright.

Jessica Cruz is the main character of this movie, not the returning members of the Justice League and certainly not the Legion of Superheroes. If you're cool with that the movie is alright, but thats what you should know before buying it. Jessica isn't terrible or anything, but personally I did not need a new Green Lantern, and I still think I would have preferred to have John Stewart in this movie. Also minor spoilers, but she one woman's a problem that the rest of the heroes in the movie were struggling against, and to me it felt forced. Its an okay movie, but I was hoping for more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excelente película de la justice league
Reviewed in Mexico on May 12, 2020
