Washing/Care Instructions

Elvio blankets should be machine washed (with hot or cold water) on a moderate cycle and can be line dried but not in direct sunlight. You can also tumble dry the blankets on low or medium heat if you have any urgency.

Note - Do not worry if the blanket shrinks a bit after washing - that’s the tendency of natural cotton and we do not want to blend it with other fabric or treat it with any chemical - to keep it natural, non-allergic, warm, and comfortable. Moreover, the sizes on the label are all measured before wash and shrinkage.

    I sweat at night, and was looking for a hospital-style blanket that could let some air through. This is exactly what I needed. It's not supercomfortable like the more ultra-expensive Egyptian cotton, but it is comfortable enough. It is unusable in the cold.

    There are other hospital-style blankets that claim to breathable, but they are not. This one is. And it isn't white.

    I haven't washed it yet, so am not sure if it will leak lint. I'll update the review once I put it through a wash.

    I was looking for a lightweight and breathable summer blanket. I saw the pattern on this one and immediately knew that it was what I was looking for. As far as comfort goes, this blanket is perfect. It provides coverage that many of us can't sleep without while also keeping things cool which is a must for the summer.

    Here's where the blanket uses points. To start, it is very rough out of the package. You'll need to wash it with fabric softer to make it more usable. Next, the quality is really lacking. I washed and dried the blanket just once on a delicate setting and some parts are already starting to fray. I'm concerned that the blanket won't last long, but am happy to enjoy it while it does.

    If the quality were better this would easily be a 5-star blanket given its price.
