About this item

  • Makes Creating Detailed Pieces Easy - Save time creating spikes, dragon skulls, flowers, medallions, and any other intricate pieces you can imagine with your cosplay foam. Lightweight and easy to shape, it can be stretched, sculpted, and pressed into molds to create awesome ornaments/details for your cosplay.
  • Air-Dries for Convenience - Your creations will be dry and ready to use in as little as 20 minutes for thin pieces or up to 48 hours for bigger ones depending on thickness and volume. Our lightweight air dry clay can be cut and sanded after drying for even more details. For an excellent finish and longer lasting flexibility, seal it with plasti-dip or mod podge and then paint it.
  • Stays Flexible Even When Dry - Once cured, Foam-Mo retains a level of flexibility that makes it more ideal than paper clay or molding clay. While wet, it sticks to itself and eva foam well, but you may also use hot glue/contact cement for better adhesion.
  • Ideal for Arts and Crafts - Create detailed ornaments and pieces with our creative clay. Simply use what you need and store the remaining Foam-Mo in the tub for future foam clay cosplay creations! This easy-to-use medium is non-toxic and leaves no oily residue, so you can create with ease.
  • Choose Between 2 Tub Sizes - Cosplay Apprentice’s modeling foam is available in small (300g) and large (900g) tub sizes.

Great product; hit or miss on quality tho.

Great product; hit or miss on quality tho.
Easy to use and it’s nice for the cost. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the quality isn’t always the same. The last batch was perfect. Smooth, good stretch. This batch I just ordered has chunks of foam in it so it’s incredibly lumpy. Luckily the project I’m using it on, I don’t need it to be smooth because it will be covered in flock. But be aware that it’s a risk you take with any foam clay.Top half of mask done with last batch, lumpier bits at the bottom with the new batch.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for cosplay - bony-type tail
Reviewed in the United States on August 15, 2020
This stuff is great to work with, and was perfect for making a bony-type tail. There aren't really instructions, so be aware that you can re-wet it to keep working it if you mess up a piece or if it starts getting dry. Also be aware that it can deform itself if it's unbalanced while drying - the first few "bones" I made were symmetrical, and flattened a little bit as they dried. The first piece I made with a "spike" on one side, though, fell over to one side as it was drying. I ended up threading each piece on a length of wire and hanging it up on a pants hanger to dry. Lightweight, slightly bendy, perfect for making a tail. Used about 3/4 of a small tub.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome product, will buy again!
Reviewed in the United States on February 4, 2020
I wanted to make a replica of a character from my daughter's favorite show for her birthday, and after some research decided that EVA foam plus Foam-mo was the way to go. I rolled the foam out onto a silicone mold, let it dry, then primed it with matte modpodge. Painted it with acrylic paints and metallic pigment,, then added more modpodge as a topcoat. It worked out great, and the finished product looks amazing. Foam-mo was super easy to work with and required next to no previous knowledge of the product to work with it. They give you a fairly large amount to work with, too. Absolutely recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice!
Reviewed in the United States on August 26, 2019
I love this product! I have attached an image of the horns I used it to make (they have a foil core with the foam sculpted over it) so you can see what it's capable of. I sealed them with plastidip and painted them with acrylic paint. You really have to seal this stuff because even if it's been drying, it'll soak up water like a sponge. It takes a little bit of a learning curve to get used to this product, but I'm really pleased with it and I might be buying it again if I ever have another project like this. I love how lightweight it is. I was amazed when I picked up the container, and even though it's super lightweight wet, when it dries it's even lighter!

Foam mo is a fantastic product, great results and super happy with the amount. We got 2 x 300g buckets, have made heaps of small props & it looks like we've barely taken any out of the 1st bucket.
