When I decided I want to retire. I bought this book to find out what are the options and what I have to do when I retire

Not sure that I even read it all the way though

I bought this guide mainly to find out when I need to stop having my employer make HSA contributions (whether 6 months before Medicare starts or just immediately before it starts), since I am retiring soon, will start Medicare then, but will not accept Social Security right away. I believe from consulting other guides that the answer given in Medicare & You 2019 is not correct in this situation.

It gives basic information but you will need a LOT more to make good decisions for Medigap and prescription drug policies. It's a decent start but definitely not the only one you need. However... it is FREE AT THE SOCIAL SECURITY OFFICE.

I just picked this up in July(2019). All you have to do is visit a local office and obtain one==FREE(you already paid via taxes).

It's written in typical 'governmentese'. Not easy to understand. However, since it's an official publication, it's good to have.

I'm surprised to find it for sale on Amazon. Perhaps the government is saving money?
