Medicare: The Clear, Concise, Self-Educating Guide Kindle Edition

4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 28 ratings

Let's not mince words here:

Researching Medicare is tedious, time consuming, and frankly not motivating. The amount of information can appear over-whelming, in addition, the internet is filled with small portions of truth to bait you in, just to end up on a fill-form page requesting your personal information.

What is the solution?

Medicare: The Clear, Concise, Self-Educating guide simplifies the entire process. Only hand selected information is included to best serve the most common scenarios senior-citizens encounter when transitioning into Medicare. Spare yourself the experience of filtering through thousands of pages of information, and consider a simplified guide that details only the most relevant information.

What you can expect to learn:

  • The most costly mistakes to avoid when getting started

  • What benefits did you actually earn?

  • How to enroll & coordinate benefits

  • Medicare Advantage VS Supplement plans with comparison charts

  • Late enrollment penalties that last forever/deadlines

  • Prescription drug coverage with analysis charts

  • What if I retire after 65?

  • What if I keep my employer coverage?

  • How to find a plan that fits the budget

  • What plan allows you to choose your doctor and hospital

  • What plan offers the most protection when traveling

The number one reason for bankruptcy in the USA today is medical debt, much of which is preventable with proper coverage. You have worked to hard to screw this process up now. Roughly 50% of senior citizens only have original Medicare, do not make the same mistake. Get an idea of overall cost so you can actually plan a budget.

Thank you for this. I was putting off doing the research for Medicare as I am very busy with grand-kids and retirement. I simply needed to know what my plan options are, and this guide provided just that. Very easy to understand without being bogged down with thousands of pages of information.

Provides a good general overview.

Very basic information. Easy to read but gives you minimal information. Inorrect information on cost of Medicare B depending on income it can cost over $400/ month. Cost ranges “$134/ month to $400+/ month depending on last 2 years income. Short quick read but not worth the $20 cost. There are many web sites with same information for free! Not worth the money I feel author wrote this to make money giving no real value. Try Medicare web site.

This was the most helpful book on the process of signing up for Medicare. The information is relevant and unbiased. Now all I need to do is apply it to my personal requirements.

Very basic, very little about Medicare Part D, and nothing about the Medicare appeals process. The table of contents is nice, but an index would've been more helpful.

New to Medicare. This book answered a lot of my questions. It saved me and Medicare a lot of time. Plus I can keep it for reference.

Really liked his writing, I could actually understand this convoluted system. If you just want the program in a nutshell. This is it.
