it's a ball and it squeaks. It is Red (he's a little Red dog so the name stuck) approved. They fit easily in his pekingese mouth and they squeak. And they will sink in the grass and stay below the mower blades when he takes them outside and leaves them so they'll have a chance of survival. However, these are tiny balls that will roll under furniture easily and we'll have crying and wailing to pull THAT ball out, despite the other 11 balls 2 feet from him.

    Does it really matter how I like them?? My DOGS love them. They give them 5 stars. Are they made of an indestructible, high-tech, aero-space fabric that will endure being chewed on for a lifetime? Are the squeekers designed so that no living canine can possibly destroy them? Does it really matter? Fact is you get a dozen of them! They will last for months, with hours and hours of play. And another dozen are just a click away.
    p.s: one of my dogs whined for what seemed like hours when I only took three out initially and set the rest of the bag on a high shelf, begging me to take them down.
    p.p.s: size matters. My very little dogs like the 1 1/2 inch ones. I had to learn that, but they were patient with me. Choose a good size for yours.
