Short 1 to 2 page explanations of things of this world (and universe). Written in easy language so a 10 year old could understand and get excited about knowing more. (BUT, it's NOT limited to a 10 year old!)

This is possibly the best (most interesting) book I've read in a long time. Read this instead of Until the End of Time where the first 80 pages are tough before it gets understandable and interesting.

This is one of the best books I have read! It explains so many things in terms that everyone should be able to understand.

At first I was quite upset that the delivery of the box was left in my garden, it rained and then next morning the book was slightly damp, dirty and torn, but then I read the opening ..."When one is considering the universe, unseen matter, our small backyard of the stuff, I think it is important, sensible even, to try and find some balance between laughter and uncontrollable weeping." On the scale of problems, a slightly damage book with wisdom and wit, should be worn and have the appearance of being read, often!

Please enjoy, I have sent many copies to other people. We are all questioning during COVID-19, the science, the myths, our freedom and rights and this wonderful book makes sense of basics. Its illustrations are wonderful too!

I read a section a day, review some of the items that I am not familiar and learn something wonderful and new every day!

Thank you Ella, I look forward to your next work.

I originally bought this book for myself but soon discovered that it is written in such a charming and light-hearted way that I could read it to my eight year old son who has a huge interest in science but not able to read the book himself. It makes reading about the universe magical, fun and informative.

Reading this book, is like having a friend over to your home and musing together on the rooftop with hot cocoa and blankets of how vast, glorious, beautiful our universe is. From the scale of atom, absurdity of time, and the magnitude of stars and it never stop being.

Ella Frances Sanders is a thinker, a ponderer, and one of those rare, inspired humans. To be able to glimpse into her mind and her wisdom is a daily privilege for me. I love to read, and this is one of the best books to ever cross my nightstand.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy it because Ella Frances is the most brilliant writer and illustrator!

I will buy anything written by Ella. It took me a while to buy this because I moved across the continents and I tried to find it in this non English speaking world in a proper bookstore but couldn't, so ended up buying it off amazon. But again, Ella's words flows as beautifully as a river and her illustration feels of so much warmth. This is a great book for all ages. 10/10 would gift to someone!
