Bike material cuts corners where it shouldn't at such a high price point. Important parts crumble
Short Story:Bike rendered unusable within 8 days of use when a part made of plastic connected to the crank crumbled to tiny pieces. This bike is not meant for anyone actually serious about their workout and exercise routine or weight loss plan. Definitely not made for the long term without heavy maintenance time and cost despite such a high price point. If you look at the pictures, I took one where pieces of the plastic that crumbled off fell onto the floor the exposed metal crank because the plastic was totally destroyed (compare it to the product photos). You can see the quality of the manufacture by how scuffed and dirty it looks under that plastic. I'm not even sure what some of that gunk and dust is. The last photo is a little blurry since my camera on my older phone is terrible at close distances, but if you look at it when it's small, you can see a chunk of the plastic that fell apart sitting at the bottom below the crank. Other pieces of the plastic are still sitting in there as well (not in the pictures). You'd have to do an extremely casual laid back non-workout biking pace for this product to last. Hides behind its sleek outer appearance to hide deep flaws in quality.===============Long story:I live a sedentary lifestyle working a desk job 9 to 5 and go straight home and either play games on my computer or VR games. Nerdy I know. I got this bike to manage my weight and get some exercise in to improve my health since I noticed I was consistently increasing in weight over time despite diet changes. I got this bike and marked that I was around 158 pounds (weighted in the morning) during my first session. My height is 5'8. The weight is not too bad but since I lived a sedentary lifestyle, all of it was going to fat and not toned muscle.I don't hold back on anything I do, and this was no exception. I know the majority of users will probably not go as intensely for as long as I did. I received this item March 8th, and set it up March 11th and tested it for however long/far it took to burn 100 calories according to the computer. At first, there was some weird moments where I saw a crooked part on the back of the seat and and part of the plastic on an adjustment knob broke off. But I ignored them since they did not affect the usability or performance of the bike. Overall it performed well and was fairly quiet with a minor whirring sound that people who can sleep to if they don't mind white noise. From March 12th to March 18th, I made it a goal to burn at least 600 calories every day according to the included computer. On the 18th, the bike was rendered unusable. In the end, I clocked around 197 miles on the bike before a piece of the bike that shouldn't be made with brittle plastic popped split into chunks and started crumbling into tiny pieces and dust.As for how I used the bike, I always tried to main at least 14 MPH and generally tried to pace at 16 MPH for a consistent speed and once in a while turn it up to 20-23 MPH if I wanted to push it for a couple minutes at a time. Generally, it took 2-3.5 hours to complete each workout with water and food breaks. I had moderate resistance where starting off, I could pedal while seated and would need to reduce the resistance towards the end of the session if I wanted to remain seated. I used a mix of straight up seated, standard seated, and standing positions during each workout somewhat randomly but focusing on mainly the standing position. At this pace, I probably biked 25+ miles each day with the moderate resistance.Granted I might have gotten a bad one, but using brittle plastic that crumbled under the strain of someone under my weight class at standard workout paces averaging only 2.5 hours per day on the bike is not something I want to spend time dealing with for such a high price point.

    Putting this together:
As one who is mechanically inclined, I thought this was a breeze to put together. The tools are included and were above average quality. If you have trouble following directions, or have weak hands you may need some assistance, but I had no issues. It was also very well packaged.
    The ride:
This absolutely surpassed all of my expectations. It’s not just low noisie, it’s literally NO noise! It’s smooth as silk and provides a great range of resistance. Even if you want to simulate tough hill climbing, you’ll be happy.
    The build:
This feels strong and sturdy. I’m very happy with it. Every detail from the plush and highly comfortable seat (with spring action) to the handlebars that allow you to vary your grip and position.
I’ll admit that I had a bike that was almost twice the cost of this in my cart and at the last minute decided against it and went with this model. I’m very happy I did. If you have money to burn, you can pay for all of the bells and whistles. However, I would argue that this bike will give you the same feel and same workout as those that are over 5 times the cost.
Very happy with my purchase. The ONLY potential gripe (and I’m digging deep) is that I do not know how to properly pull the straps on the peddles tight to keep my feet locked in. I’m sure I’ll figure this out, but as of this writing, it’s not coming easily.

The bike works well and is good for the money. the ride is smooth and there is enough resistance to be able to do a good workout and stand without feeling unstable. The bike assembly was pretty simple. And overall, I am happy with the purchase.

    Now for the bad:
-It was obvious the bike was sitting in a warehouse for a long time. The tape was yellowed and everything was dusty.
    - The handle bar grip was damaged on one side. Not bad enough to warrant a return, we are going to tape it off to keep it from spreading, but amazon did offer a partial refund for the damaged part.
    - The shaft the handle bars sit inside is odd. There is "lip" on the inside plastic that made it difficult to insert. My husband had to look from underneath and push the plastic inwards to allow the handle bar shaft to slide in from above. Once installed, its not a big deal, as long as you don't pull the handle bars too far upwards (the lip is such that even with the handles at the highest setting, you shouldnt pull it back over the lip).
    - The bike is quiet overall, but there is a slight squeak that sometimes happens when getting going.
    - While standing, the handle bar shaft tends to rock a bit. But not enough to feel unstable. Just enough to be a little annoying.

I LOVE this bike & its affordable price! It arrived on time, in great shape & was easy to put together in less than 1/2 hour. The heavy metal body feels sturdy, the 49lb fly wheel makes all the difference in getting a more "professional" ride. I'm able to adjust the seat height & position to fit my 5' frame. The handle bars are smaller than commercial bikes, but your still able to get to all 3 positions. I like the timer but its somewhat flimsy. I didnt need the built in video screen offered on some, because there are plenty of spin videos on youtube & other sites. I have used it 3x a week for a month & have no complaints. The main selling points for me were the 49lb flywheel, the ability to have it fit a shorter person, and the great price! So very happy I didnt waste $ on a peleton!
