      About the Author

      Femi Oyebode took over authoring Sim's Symptoms in the Mind from Andrew Sims for the 4th edition, and he is very well published aside from this. He is Professor and Head of Department of Psychiatry at the University of Birmingham. His research has considered descriptive psychopathology and delusional misidentification syndrome. He was awarded the 2016 Royal College of Psychiatrists lifetime achievement award.

        It is hard to find quality textbooks of descriptive psychopathology. I will be using this text and integrating it for my psychopathology class and maybe even make it our primary text book. Psychologists, psychiatrists, and other mental health clinicians should read this text and cherish it.

        This book is a ‘bible of psychopathology’ and is must for a trainee doctors in may sychiatty and psychologists.
        The content is illustrated with all the details that one can expect .
        The quality of book is very good with glossy paper. Only downside I think is that the book could have been less expensive

        I'm so happy because in less than 1 week i get the book and it's in perfect conditions. i have the 5th edition and i can't see too much of a difference between both of them other than the color at the beginning of every chapter but i'm going to read it to find out.
