- Reviewed in the United States on April 17, 2019It's a short album for Nas but he's a vet in the game so he's one of them mc's that gets a pass, album took a min for me to dig but after a couple of listens I was like aiight my g did his thing on it,i bought some more cd's with it so I had other flavor pumpin too and I don have the album next to me but the track I liked the most of course to me was cops shot the kid,i heard it before buying the album and was like gotta get it,i was raised in queens myself not queensbridge but this would've been pumpin out my speakers if I was back home when this dropped, theres mire hardbody joints on the album but cop jus to add to the collection, thats wussup,my opinion and by the way people still talking about it,i was in high school when him and J was going at it and I had numerous nas and jay-z cd's and mixtapes and my g Nas got J,we decided that way back in like '02,so long ago I can't even remember the date but thas final, old but my opinion...
- Reviewed in the United States on June 26, 2018When I first heard this album I would of rated it a 3.5 like most here. However I like to listen to it at least 20 times before making an assumption. It's a five star for me, all the tracks are beautiful and are design to fit the story Nas is trying to tell. Album goes from aggressive to calm before it ends. As if Nas was trying to wake up as many as he can but in the end giving up. Yes, he focuses on what black lives in the first few tracks. However by the middle he switches to uniting the fears of everyone. The first track tells you what he's trying to accomplish. Unity with all the races against the big dogs and corporate.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 16, 2018I hate the fact that this is an LP and not a CD. 6 songs is'nt long enough. Especially for a Nas album. Not since stigmatic has he has so little songs. That being said i found that Kanye gave Nas the Type of beats that he likes. Old school and not able to be played in the club. So I don't like all the songs. Some of them the beat drowns out Nas Lyrics. But Cops shot the kids,Bonjour,Everything and even Not for the radio (Puff) Are solid. If you like Nas get the Album. If your not a fan then this will not make you one.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 25, 2018Nas and Ye at their best. The tracks are some of the most astounding since MBDTF and Runaway. Thank you, Mr. West. Nas puts the soul into these tracks and makes em' blaze with that truth. Nas hits all of the dirt on the streets, giving you what you need to hear when no one else dares speak.
Respect.
For those who miss it, consider this, a closed mind will never see. Family. Grab the fresh new heat and let that simmer. It's not what you want, it is what you need.
One.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 3, 2018As usual, Nas shows a dexterity and maturity in his elder-career as Emcee Grandmaster. Many will again harp on the production. But, he says it right in his lyrics why we seek him. I wish this was 3/5 tracks longer. But, I can accept the EP (lol) own its own merits.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 8, 2018If your not of a certain consciousness this album will go over your head. That being said I love the sequence of the album the production was great two songs probably over produced, but the lyrics paint pictures for a docuseries that I want to see.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 17, 2018It's okay. I can't tell if it objectively feels a little boring or if I'm just GOOD music'd out. All the components appear to be there, it has it's moments, but frankly nothings really making me want to stay to listen or come back to listen again. I've been known to change my opinion so we'll see in time.
Update: Nas's bars are among his most basic. Most of the lyrical concepts across the albums feel poorly developed. The beats are up to par with the rest of this summer's GOOD releases (i.e. great to terrific). 3.5

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent
I can understand why some people aren't big on NASIR. Personally i love it quick and to the point. Lyrically to me Nas is very introcate on this album and touches on some important topics. I commend him for talking about injustice in society and to balance fame and everyday. Also Kanye's production was very colourful his best of 2018.

5.0 out of 5 stars Every song is an anthem
Nas just oozes flair and finesse. Him and Kanye on the production are a lethal combination.

5.0 out of 5 stars In Nas I trust
Ho scoperto il rap nei primi anni novanta anche grazie a Nas, suo è stato il primo CD rap americano comprato! Imprescindibile! Chi ama il rap non può chiedersi se comprare o meno Nas!
