Our veterinarian recommended this product to us about 7 years ago when our rabbit was diagnosed with sore hocks. The prescription coming from her office was very expensive (and obviously not covered by insurance) and would've been wasted with the amount we would have to buy (large tube) and the product expiration date. We found these small sample-sized ointment tubes of the same thing online at Amazon and they cost at least 15 times less. We only need it for 1 bunny and a little goes a long way (lasts us about a year). Great product. Keeps our bunny's hocks moisturized, too. He tries to lick it off, but it's safe and eventually he stops licking because, well, it's ointment, not food. I've also used it on myself in a pinch when we've run out of human antibacterial ointment. Works well.
We have had great success with this product to heal up major cuts on our horses. We didn't know about using this product for PAW Care for our dogs. We look forward to seeing how this product will perform when we use it throughout the winter for PAW Care. I am hoping it works as well as it did to heal our horses.
Purchased this cream for my cat. Poor fella has a tiny tumor on his paw. Fortunately, it's not spreading nor is it fatal, but it IS regardless a frequently-open wound that bleeds at times. And he's too old for surgery, so I looked for any kind of cream, spray or ointment that might help even a little. After looking through a dozen products or so, this one came with the highest recommendation so I bit the bullet.
After receiving it, along with it, came a small information pamphlet for its many uses. And lo and behold, in a big red box, a warning: This product cannot be used on wounds with abnormal cell proliferation (read: tumors).
NOWHERE on their website, this very product page, or any other storefront, does it say this cannot be used on wounds with abnormal cell proliferation, benign, malignant, or anything in-between. Leaving out such crucial information is irresponsible and dangerous.
Thus, I have to return this and go back to the search.
