Kyocera is my favorite ceramic knife brand
The Kyocera brand was recommended to me 5 years ago when I attended culinary school. Back then, I purchased the Kyocera Advanced Ceramic “Revolution Series” 5-inch Micro Serrated Tomato, Utility Knife, White Blade which retails for $39.95, on sale right now for $26.13. I have been extremely happy with the knife and bought a second one for the kids. It still cuts tomatoes wonderfully as I have been know to cut about 100+ pounds during the season. I had the chance to test out two knives: The Kyocera 4PC “Advanced Ceramic” Steak Knife Set for $99.99. The steak knife set is perfect for cutting any types of meats. It has a Micro-serrated Zirconia Blade, which is sum are to the one I slice tomatoes with, don’t underestimate this knife it is very, very sharpe so handle it like you would a metal knife. Kyocera “Innovation Series” Ceramic Knife, 5-inch, White Blade that retails for $44.95, currently on sale for $42.80. The innovation series is part of the newly launched Z212 Cutlery, extremely hard materials for the blade, stay sharper 2x longer than their previous knives, has an easy grip ergonomic design, and a slightly different blade design for easier cutting. It’s a wonderful design, I had nice control given the quickness of slicing through vegetables and fruit. I was able to easily slice through tougher skin like peppers, cucumbers and carrots with ease. I would definitely buy another to have in hand, I know one of the kids is going to see how wonderful this knife cuts and try to take it home. That’s how it happens! The blade is manufactured in Japan, and the life is assembled in China.
