    The 717 Steamer Basket is a must have for your pressure cooker/Instant Pot! I have a 6 qt Instant Pot and the basket fits perfectly. I’ve steamed perfectly made veggies, boiled eggs, potatoes, and I made spaghetti squash in half the time! The stainless steel mesh is very sturdy and of good quality. When I pull the basket out of the pot, I don’t have to worry about it being too hot to the touch or worry it will slip because of the silicone handle. Easily one of my favorite kitchen gadgets because of it’s versatility. I can’t wait to keep cooking with it!!

    The first one I ordered was missing the handle. I immediately started a return and had it replaced. It was several more days before I got the replacement, but this is the best accessory I have purchased for my Instant Pot. If you can only purchase one accessory, this is the one to get. I use it mostly for "boiling" eggs, egg pudding and making bone broth. I don't eat vegetables, but I'm sure it would work perfectly for that. The mesh is pretty sturdy and the silicone coated handle is substantial and makes removal very easy.

In my 6qt, it comes all the way to top and no spare room around edges, so I can assume the pic was using an 8 qt. The handle is black-not a game changer, i just wanted the one used in youtube vids. Works fine. I hand wash because i don't trust the new so-called stainless steel to hold up against dishwasher chemicals.

    I have been looking for an accessory like this steamer basket since I purchased my Instant Pot six months ago. My Instant Pot did not come with a trivet that had a handle; a great disadvantage when removing hot food from the pot. The 717 steamer basket has made my cooking experience with the Instant Pot better, easier and safer. The 717 steamer basket has a sturdy handle that is firmly attached to basket. This feature makes it extremely easy and safe to remove hot food from the pot. Because of the handle design the basket can be inserted or removed from the pot with one hand, freeing the other hand if necessary. Eight eggs fit easily on the bottom on the basket. Vegetables slide easily from basket to serving dish with no need for tongs or other utensil. In addition it cleans up extremely well!! An important feature for any kitchen tool. Highly recommended.

    I bought this to replace my steamer with the orange handle as I gave that one to my nephew to try in his new instant pot. This one arrived in an Amazon envelope with the mesh squashed and unusable from the USA. It is very expensive and it is of the cheapest quality and construction. Get the one with the orange handle. Would not recommend this one at all. Despite the long wait for it’s delivery from the USA- the return was handled very well by Amazon.

    This item arrived in bad shape. Not boxed, just wrapped in bubble wrap and plastic so the wire is all bent in and out of shape. The handle was partially diconnected. Handle is just thick wire bent loosly into handle holes so i cannot see it being trustworthy lifting out hot items. Very, very cheaply done and I am very disappointed. Waited a long time to get it. What a waste of good money.
