The funny tone these authors incorporated into this book makes it one of, if not my favorite, books for grad school. They add no frou-frou information or hurt your brain from all the information you read. It gets straight to the point and adds some humor, and the smiles and laughs it has brought have helped me get through all the studying.

I just finish reading this book “The Neuroscience of Clinical Psychiatry “ by Dr Huggins & Dr George. It is very refreshing and informative about upto date information in Neuroscience. This is the first edition I ever read and I will sure to follow up with future edition. It is very fun to read , the authors have a gift of writing textbook in a fun way with great sense of humor. This is the most enjoyable textbook I every read in Psychiatry or medicine in general for that matter. I have been waking up every morning looking forward to read new chapter on this textbook . This is a textbook ,isn’t it ? I am thankful for Dr Huggins and Dr George for writing of such important textbook to update us what is new and upcoming in Psychiatry with inserting great sense of humor here and there. I preorder this book and start reading right away but more in the past couple weeks. I highly recommend any psychiatrist in the field to buy this book , and read it and one will find benefit of reading in which Authors would tell you what it is .

Arrived in mint condition within two days. This is highly readable book, the facts are presented in interesting manner, of course it is full of information, relevant and related matter. I had borrowed the book from the library, liked it so much that I ordered a copy for myself. My son already had ordered this book a few weeks before.

I have read only scattered parts of the book, but was surprised to see the authors referring to Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder as an "Anxiety Disorder" (for example on page 288 and page 298). While seemingly ignoring the (then six-year-old) changes from DSM-IV to DSM 5 might not be a major issue, it causes me to wonder how much other information presented as up-to-date is instead "dated".

5.0 out of 5 stars the best neuroscience book I have ever read

it is simple language is only matched by it's updated content. I have developed an interest in neuroscience and have read a few books on the subject. This is a relatively smallish book giving you an update and basic knowledge about the subject in a conversational and sometimes funny language. I definitely recommend it if you read for the sake of reading or if your speciality would require basic knowledge of the topic.
