Heartfelt and Inspiring True Story
A heartfelt and inspiring true story that touched my heart deeply. I love that he had experiences that lifted him back into love and joy in this life. He has much wisdom to share and this book will truly be a gift to anyone who has experienced profound loss and also faced/facing a hard physical recovery from an accident. The photos are showing how the pages of this book literally were falling out. I hope the right person sees this review, but whoever is publishing these books is doing a terrible job with the binding. I'd have to say at least 30 pages came out while I was reading this book.

    Knowing: Memoirs of a journey beyond the veil and choosing joy after tragic loss by Jeff Olson is one of the most important, profound and life changing books I have ever read. I could not put this book down because of the depth of what Jeff shared through one of the most painful and deeply moving experiences a human being could ever have - losing loved ones in an unexplainable gut and heart-wrenching experience such as his road accident.

    What I found so extraordinary was the level of resilience Jeff had as he passed so many months with a body that was almost completely crushed due to his accident. Wanting to give up and just check out is so human, transforming the physical pain and grief of a life that used to be and losing the people he adored is no longer human but our divinity coming forth to rescue us out of our own despair.

    It's almost impossible to imagine so much loss in one man's life and this story so succinctly recounts the day to day experience of a human being who was dedicated to finding his 'why' and his deeper spiritual truth. The vulnerability he had moved through allowed him to open his heart at even deeper levels so he would experience another aspect of existence, higher dimensions. Through devastating physical and emotional pain, Jeff heard the voice of God.

    I found myself going back to those pages over and over as I wanted to live that experience with him and understand what that must have been like. If anyone knows what it is like to suffer and wants to understand at an even deeper level how to work through the questions of 'why me', then I highly recommend this extraordinary piece of work.

    This book shares profound teachings, transformation of heart-wrenching pain and so much joy within its pages that I cannot recommend it enough. ‘Knowing’ will lift you into understanding the profound gifts that can come out of some of life's most devastating experiences.

    I bought this book following Jeffrey Olsen on Facebook. My sister in law had met Jeffrey in Utah after her son (my nephew) had been killed in a car wreck in Austin. We were all receiving messages from Andrew from the other side. When she met Jeff, she relayed his information to me and started following him on Facebook. I was impressed and inspired by his posts on Facebook and felt aligned with everything he posted.
    So when his book, Knowing, came out, ai bought it right away on my Kindle. I started reading it and impressed but stopped reading as Hurricane Harvey aftermath and rebuilding took my time as well as my seminars. Each time I went back to the book, I tried to read where I left off.

    Finally, last week, I was able to focus on the book at night as I prepared to fall asleep. I couldn’t put it down. I read it as I put on my makeup in the morning preparing for a seminar, as a relaxation at night, and felt so AT ONE with everything Jeffrey wrote. Even though my situation and journey are so different from Jeffrey’s (my twin sons have autism) I could relate how we are helped from the other side of the veil.

    After my nephew’s car accident, I could feel his presence many times and many signs (as well as my brother and his wife).

    Jeffrey writes authentically and honestly and I know that anyone, regardless of what journey you are traveling, will understand the insecurities of letting go and letting God.

    I am blown away by Jeffrey’s journey, the pain he has experienced, the courageous journey he has taken through horrible physical obstacles.
    Don’t put this book down until you have read it to the end..

    Jeffrey Olsen has written a very compelling, challenging and thought-provoking book. Anyone struggling with the loss of a spouse and/or a child can readily identify with the writer's despair and mental anguish, especially those individuals who feel partially or totally responsible for their family members "untimely" death or deaths, if more than one loved one/family members lost their lives due to one's inattention or distraction.

    Being a Bible-believing Christ-follower, some of the "spiritual experiences"/interactions with his departed loved ones related by the author were difficult to comprehend and accept, but there as many instances in the Bible of similar experiences, that it was difficult not to accept these encounters as real and valid.

    I do not know how the author could endure the events and resulting grief and pain with God's grace, strength and comfort/peace.

My son transitioned in 2016 and I have found such comfort and strength in books like yours where people have allowed me to see that life goes on and can still be filled with joy. I originally heard you on a pod caste and felt the genuine love and compassion in your voice. I was so taken by your joy in light of what you went through, I had to read your book. I know there are no coincidence. I listen to pod caste each morning while I ride to work. I feel my beautiful son sitting next to me and know he arranged for me to hear you and read your book. I too feel his deep presence and have since the day he transitioned. When people said, "I am sorry for your loss", I just wanted to scream, "But I know in my heart he is not gone". Since his transition, I get the opportunity to look for his signs each day and meet with him in meditation. Knowing he is not gone but on the other side, makes it all bearable. Thank you for your beautiful book that reminded me what I know is true and for sharing your beautiful encounters from the other side. While reading your book, I felt like I was watching a movie. I think this would make a wonderful movie and gift to the viewers. I am so grateful to you!!!!

    This book touched me deeply and I wept through much of it. I have been on the other side of the ICU bed watching the one I loved most in the world go through an experience similar to Jeff’s, only imagining what it must be like. Jeff’s raw emotion and honest struggle to make sense of what seemed senseless, while simultaneously questioning God and clinging to his faith, is an experience that resonates deeply. Then you find much more: lessons, insights, memories, stories, lifelong teachings and deep connections in between family and even new love and growing kids.     Normally I'm reading like 10 books at the same time, pick one, put it down (even easier on Kindle), pick another one. But this one I couldn't stop reading. Was reading in bed late at night and early in the morning, in the sunshine in the garden and at the kitchen table. So well written! Such an extraordinary story! I'm impressed at the quality of the writing because I've read similar autobiographical spiritual books and they could be rather clunky. This one was easy-flowing and almost poetic. I had tears in my eyes when I read how Jeffery came home from the hospital. One must really admire his strength and sincerity.
