I had a 6 qt stainless steel pot with glass lid, vegetable tray and top strainer which I loved, but alas no deep pasta insert. Now for $11 I have competed the set, all in stainless steel. Mine is not an Insta-Pot but just a good 6 qt pot. I am so happy with this find. As to issues about something sticky on it hard to get off - that doesn't exist. A beautiful, well constructed pasta insert! Cook the pasta in water and lift the insert out - whala! drained pasta and you still have your pasta water for your sauce!

    This steamer basket serves an awesome purpose!! I place whole eggs, potatoes, veggies ...anything I want to steam to cook in my Instant Pot. Basket has short legs that prevent the food in the basket from touching the water. A great way to get food cooked and on the table quickly!! I steamed (baked) potatoes in it for 14 mins... would have taken at least an hours in the oven to bake!!! This is a game changer addition when cooking in Instant pot!!!

    As others have stated the issue with the sticky residue is a thing of the past. The feet are inside a plastic bag and that and the handle are attached with a Ziploc tie. I havan Instant Pot Duo Plus and it fits perfectly and even allows me to use the trivet that came with the Instant Pot and set this basket on top if more space is needed so as your contents are not in the liquid depending on how you are using the basket. Very sturdy and well made and easy to clean. Even with the original trivet and the basket inserted you are able to close and seal your Instant Pot, Great for shrimp and lobster and asparagus as I'm located in New Jersey and they are plentiful.

    I have an instant pot 6qt, but I bought this for camping. I might buy another for home.

    It nests just right into my GSI Halulite 6qt pressure cooker. This gives me the obvious ability to steam, but it also means that I can bring a full size metal strainer with me when I go car camping. Even more awesome, my Open Country 4qt aluminum pot then nested just-right into the steamer for travel, although the lid did not secure down. With a bit of massaging the 4qt pot (remove handle maybe), I might be able to get the pressure lid on and have a solution for making fresh steamed bread in camp! In any event, it is a nice size for taking along car camping.

    Quality seems just fine; great for the price. Easier to clean this style than the wire mesh ones.

    This is an excellent steamer basket! It fits my 6qt Instant Pot Lux perfectly. It sits solidly on the bottom of the inner pot without rocking. It doesn't interere with closing the pressure and glass lids. It's remarkably easy to clean. The silicone rubber covers on the feet prevent them from scatching the stainless inner pan and the silicone rubber cover on the handle allows the basket to be easily removed while it's still hot. PLUS it holds a ton and the sides are perforated to the top rim of the basket which promotes even circulation of the steam avoiding cold spots, even when the basket is full of cut up veggies. I not only would purchase this again, I plan on buying more as gifts for friends that also have 6qt Instant Pots.

    Being very picky with kitchen gadgets and such but:

    I HIGHLY recommend this product.

    A few months earlier I purchased an InstantPot 6 qt ( sorry, not from Amazone that time) and I noticed the hassle to get the potatoes or other steamed veggies out of the pot. The little trivet which came with the pot did a decent job, but I needed something better.. more functional.
    Found this steamer basket here by accident; also compared it with the mesh version of other manufacturers; read other customers feed back.
    Thus remembering how many times I replaced mesh strainers just for draining pasta because how flimsy some were made, iI opted for a more solid version of a steamer basket.

    This one exceeded my ecpectations.

    Not only does it come with a handle, it has legs too to keep the contents above water level during steaming. Being made of stainless steel, it's dishwasher safe and never accumulate oders ( yeah, no fish , cabbage or cauliflower smell after washing)

    I had no problems removing- many times -full loads of ca. 5 lbs steamed potatoes out of the pot!
    Yeah, handle and basket are that sturdy!

    I actually used it as a colander to wash fruits in it as well. The legs will keep it above the sink for easy draining.

    Guessing, it can be used also in a regular pot to cook pasta with , just need to lift the basket up by the handle when they are done and the pasta gets drained in the process. But I never tried that method yet!
    Thinking of using it also for cheese making, for drainage when the curds getting compacted in the cheese cloth.
    So technically, it could be used in many different ways. Just my opinion!

    At first I thought the silicone feet were missing but they were in a separate bag in the box. It would have been nice if the bag were taped to the main product ... I nearly threw the feet away! Once I found them and put them on I was all set. I made vegetable broth in my InstantPot and it was so easy to discard the vegetable scraps with this strainer. The feet raised the veg slightly so I added a little more water to ensure it was all covered and I was able to do that without exceeding the Max. Fill line. This strainer/steamer basket also fits in several of my other pots and acts as a colander. Great buy for $23!

    This is a very good basket. I've been using it for a long while, mainly for steaming vegetables. I just purchased another one. The basket has protective plastic covers (orange bits) for the "legs", but they tend to fall off, so I would be careful while using with nonstick pots. Having said that, the legs are smooth.
    I use it in my Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1 Smart Cooker, 5.7L, and Ninja Foodi 9-in-1 Multi-Cooker 6L . I've tired several other things, but this one has worked best for me, while others are long gone.
