I haven't tried cutting them down yet. They are made of a good quality material. So it should be easy to cut. They do move a little.     My refrigerator has wire shelves which are very difficult to live with. These mats are my solution and so far seem to be working well. Bottles tend to fall over because the four moulded legs on the water bottles get caught in the wire rack spaces and fall over. I thought about using a piece of glass on top of the wire shelf but that has its own problems. This is a good solution . They can be cut, easy to wipe clean and if there is a bit of a spill , it doesn't drip down to the shelves below. For me it is a good solution but I wish they were available in clear or all in one color , .
