King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard's 4th album of 2017! The band released Polygondwanaland for free via their website in Nov `17 urging fans to make CD, LP and cassettes in a radical experiment in collective creativity. The official version coming from ATO Records on 2/23 features 4 color vinyl, exclusive back cover art & poster & free live show download. Psychedelic Rock for the Modern Age

Psychedelic Rock for the Modern Age
Well, I first heard King Gizzard only about 6 months ago, and their music was interesting to say the least. Their albums definitely take multiple listens all the way through to appreciate their inventive and unique sound. Polygondwanaland is on the more experimental end of their musical spectrum, and the first time I listened to this album I loved it from the start. It has a very Prog Rock-esque feel to it, especially on the first track (Crumbling Castle), and varies in sound and tone throughout the album. I highly recommend giving this album a good listen and checking out what other music they have to offer. These guys are bringing psychedelic rock back, and I couldn't be happier. Also, I was pleasantly surprised that it's on colored vinyl !

Colorful, winding, inspiring. A psychedelic storybook and a spiritual journey.

This is a fantastic product. The Fuzz Club pressing of this album sounds so rich and amazing, especially through headphones. I do love the alternate artwork featuring the woolly rhino, but this is the basic version of the album so no lyric insert or anything. As you can see the "white vinyl" is kinda transparent. I really like the look of it. Whether you're a hardcore Gizz fan or just looking to add an interesting and fun record to your collection, I highly recommend this version of Polygondwanaland.

Just listened and I think it is one of their best musically out of the 12 or so records I have heard.
I've heard it plenty of times before purchase.
But it arrived and it is as good as one could want in a pressing clean and colorful wax.

Now if Nonagon could only come down in price, I would get that one too.

I'm so happy that this was my introduction to KGLW. Even as I've grown an appreciation for most of their other albums this is still one of my favorites.

I mean, it is the album. The album is good. This is more a review of Amazon's (Recordjet's?) specific pressing of the CD version. Another review said it best but it's literally just a burned CD more or less with literally no additional artwork or anything outside of the cover in a very flimsy and cheap plastic jewel case (I'm talking mega cheap feeling, like holding it I could crack it at any moment). Despite the rest of the album art fully available, I guess they couldn't be assed to go the full pickle with this release.

Get it from bloodmusic or flightless records or some other pressing if you want something close to an "official" (I'm putting that in as many air quotes as I can) pressing with all the art. Or, hell, if you have the means, just make the case yourself and burn it to a high quality CD-R brand of some kind. Just don't get the version from here because it's literally so low effort a 5 year old drawing the cover in crayons on notebook paper and wrapping it around an old dvd case with ducktape would be more effort than this pressing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ótimo álbum e prensagem
Reviewed in Brazil on April 13, 2021
