Product Description

After failing to apprehend the terrorist behind a Paris attack that claimed dozens of lives, CIA agent Alice Racine (Noomi Rapace) is forced to live in London as a caseworker. Unexpectedly, she is called back into action by her mentor, Eric Lasch (Michael Douglas), when the CIA discovers intel of another imminent attack. While 'unlocking' the suspect, Alice discovers that the classified information she has uncovered has been compromised.     The lead actress was recognizable from the second Sherlock Holmes movie with Robert Downey Jr.

    She held her own in this movie with her playing a lead role, and Orlando pops in for a handful of scenes. There are some other mentionables as well in the cast that help move the movie forward but mostly the plot was more original than the typical CIA cliche's and had some unexpected twists here and there.

    Overall, a good movie and better than expected.

    We all enjoyed this movie. It keeps you thinking. Though there is language in the film it isn't every other word so most families can watch it together. However, there is some things that may be too graphic or disturbing to some. This includes a 10 year old boy bleeding out due to exposure to a bacterial bio-weapon, a some normal blood splatter, a dog attack and killing of the dog to name a few. Full disclosure, this does deal with Islamic Radicalization but it isn't anti-Islamic at all. In fact, this sheds positive light on an Imam trying to prevent terrorism. There's plenty of action, plot twists and conspiracy. The movie is about a CIA plant that took a position as an Islamic Community Advocate after a devastating Terrorist attack in France where 12 people were killed including several children. She was a CIA Interrogator that wasn't able to break a terrorist in order to prevent the attack. She has recruited a young 19 year old man as keeping an eye on anything suspicious within the community. As a result, she becomes involved in an investigation that spirals out of control as she begins to put the pieces together of who she can trust and who was the one who betrayed not just her but both CIA and MI6 Counter Terrorism efforts. It's a really good movie without the sex, drugs, overly vulgar or overly graphic nature in most modern movies.

    A lot of Spy dramas are riddled with cliche. While the game(What) in spy thrillers leaves little to the imagination, the "How" can be a game changer. I think the film delivered some good highlights. The protagonist Alice is not ego driven like many male counterparts in that role. In fact the supporting role men in this film had any of them been the star, I think the movie would have been another cliche and the movie would have felt like Mission Impossible(MI) and not very innovative. I do understand why they keep making films like MI, its bankable and not designed to be ground breaking I definitely recommend this although the violence is excessive. I like seeing more female leads in these sorts of roles because women can often bring more to the table not relying on pure physical action. I am male and quite tired of males always leading. I like spy thrillers so I watch most of them anyway.

    I wasn't bored with this movie. I like its action and its acting. There was even some unpredictable twists which is a nice change. However, there was one obvious "twist" that shouldn't have been there. IF that "twist" had been left out, I wouldn't have been able to predict any of it. However, I did predict that "twist" so it wasn't as "twisty" as the writer thought it was. That doesn't change my opinion of the movie though because the rest of it was refreshing for a "typical" spy movie. I'm glad I waited to read the comments AFTER I watched the movie or I probably would have skipped it. I was able to watch it for free but I liked it so much that I'm considering buying it. I only buy movies that I feel I can watch again and this is definitely worth another viewing or two. I hope you enjoy the show!

    I really liked this film and would have liked it more had there not been so many plot twists. Michael Douglas's character we think is dead but really is not dead and it turns out he's the Phantom Menace pulling all of the strings. I'd suspected this at first but when he "died" I actually felt good--until he reappears. Then there is Jack, the "thief". Really an agent sent by Douglas to spy on our heroine Noomi. I did not like this and that is why I took a full Star from the rating. and another Star because of how Douglas really died in the end. Let's just say that the writers watched a bit too much Guilty as Sin for this to be believable. There's no way with the clock ticking I'd have gone anywhere near that deadly woman. I'd have just shot her or run to the other side, knowing my deed would have been completed in a few seconds' time

    This was a solid and fast paced film which has a lot more plot than it needs. Unfortunately, the plot twists all but doom the film to Three and Half Stars. Buy it for action and intense but unbelievable plot twists. I'm the 2300 person to review this film.

    John Malkovich, always good. Toni Collette never fails to add great female balance. Michael Douglas has aged-well, and at this point in his career, has taken to being a sometimes two-faced "bad guy" ya just can't trust.

    Kudos to all involved in the production ! The scenery, the locales, the photography, the music, the cool cars, the action sequences are all first-class !
