A nice quick “pick me up”
I got this book from when he visited my church years ago. It’s sat on my shelf. It’s a good book to knock out in 2-3 days leading up to a project I’m working on to boost my confidence. It’s great affirmation. It did help the way I view my relationship with God. I’m a fan of theology and sound doctrine like Tov Rose, CL Lewis, Mark Driscoll and John Cahn, etc. this is nothing like this of course. Don’t expect any deep theology, it’s Joel osteen lol I will be giving this book to the teens in juvy I minister too, if I ever need a confidence boost, maybe I’ll read it again. The 5th Star is missing because it’s great to read this affirmations to program your Brian and push negative thoughts out while taking a social media and tv fast. However it isn’t groundbreaking or revolutionary. But it did what it was intended to do.

    This is Joel Osteens' 11th book and if you have read any of them before this one you will find similarities. This book contains 10 powerful thoughts for a successful and abundant life. There is a chapter devoted to each thought with life experiences and scriptural quotes to elucidate his point. Whenever I read a Joel Osteen book I feel motivated, peaceful and inspired. My favorite quotes " you don't have to have other peoples approval to be happy (p.97) and don't let negative events from your past become your identity "(p.195). This is a book that will better your thought processes as well as your living conditions if followed. This book it easy to read and worth your while. Joel Osteen is on a mission to bring hope to a hurting world, if more people followed his message of spiritual positivity the world would be a better place. Recommended.

    I throughly enjoyed reading Joel's latest book with 10 great chapters on ways for God to take you to the next level. Joel has a way of making the Bible real to people today and he continues in this book. My favorite chapter is the last one, "Remove The Shame". It was as though my life was written on the pages and Joel taught me how to see my future with a new perspective with Hope and Joy.

    Get the Audible or any other version You want. Too many people complaining about it's a transcript of his sermons. Not everybody in the world has satellite radio or sees all his sermons! What are You complaining about anyway? You haven't done half what Joel Has done. Stop complaining. Aren't You supposed to be supporting the global ministry in general? Or have You forgotten or haven't learned this in the first place!?
