It look like it might be OK. I downloaded the free app and played around. After about 5 minutes I decided I had to have all of the styles offered. The $5.00 is well worth it. I told my son about the app. He too after about two minutes decided this is a must tool. If you are not sure download the free portion test it for a while - and you will find the $5.00 to by all the styles is well worth it. Added bonus if you like a custom version of any or all of the style you can save 500 versions. My special thanks (for all the fun I have had so far) to Jonathan Bell whose name appears on the bottom of the start page.

Cons: There aren't any really, but if I can be pedantic to a fault, then these are the mini-gripes (which amount to not a lot). Essentially: It's a free download. but it'll cost you £4.00 to unlock all the styles, which is kinda mandatory if the app is to be of any use to you. Personally, I didn't think this was much of a con; I mean, a backing track builder for less than a fiver? Admittedly, if you're expecting to build intricate arrangements, you'll probably be disappointed. Then again, with a little ingenuity, you never know!

Pros: Practising can be kinda monotonous, right? Hour upon hour of repetition, all in the pursuit of excellence. Yeah, it's an admirable goal but let's face it, anything to bring a little relief is going to be a good thing, don't you think? Well, if you want access to "hand-crafted" chord progressions, not too intricate, but in various styles, tempos and keys, then this could well be for you. Nice and easy to use, you can rattle up pretty much any chord progression for all the basic contemporary musical genres e.g., rock, blues, etc., and some. Go on; what have you got to lose?; other than £4.00!
