I personally like my writing instruments to have a bit more heft, but the slight weight of this pen may be a real plus for others. You won't even know you're carrying it.As for the writing itself, the Jotter Gel is comfortable in the hand and the ink glides smoothly over the paper. It's a pleasure to use!

      I have another Jotter pen that I bought a couple of years ago. I really liked the color of this one and decided to get it, and also try the gel ink cartridge. Well, the new pen is a bit thinner then the one I had before - and I can feel it when writing! I do not know if it is the improved design, or one of the pens is not an original Parker. We are talking millimeters here, really,but I prefer the thickness of my older one.

      Otherwise the pen looks sharp, I like the color, and the writing is smooth.

      I have to confess that I didn't expect to enjoy this pen as much as I do. A pen is a pen, what can be special about it?, I thought. I was wrong, though. This pen is very convenient, the gel ink goes on more smoothly than any other gel ink I have used. The pen doesn't scratch paper, the ink doesn't bleed through. Once you run out of ink, it's very easy to replace the cartridge because there are no springs that try to uncoil and jump out at you like happens with so many other gel pens.

      By the way. If you already own a Parker ball point pen you can just put one of their gel refills in it as the are the identical fittings.
