I ordered the 12 inch version. The first 3 photos are my test patches. DEFINITELY buy some repositionable spray adhesive and coat the back of the stencil and use a roller brush with the minimal amount of paint on it. (The orange center was the result of a "stencil brush" and looks a bit sloppy (which has its own charm and could be a desired look, but not what I'm going for.)
The heft of this is nice - not flimsy, but not too stiff either.
UPDATE: the finished porch - took about 8 hours total to stencil. I would recommend buying 2 stencils and taping them together if someone wants to do this quicker. I have since ordered 6x6 stencils in a different pattern to use on the risers of my steps. Will update when done!

Avoiding Paint Bleed!
The most common culprit for paint bleeding behind your stencil is simple – you are using too much paint!
Evenly load your brush or roller and then offload the excess paint on to a paper towel.
Then use light pressure to apply the paint to your stencil and slowly build up to your desired coverage.
Securing Your Stencil!
The easiest way to secure your stencil to the wall is by using blue painter's tape.
Wether you are working on a wall, tile, or craft project, the painter's tape will get the job done.
You can also use a low-tack spray adhesive on the back of your stencil. Just be sure to spray it in a well ventilated area!
Aligning the Stencil Panels!
Our stencil patterns feature an easy registration system for a flawless finish every time.
Just use parts of the previously painted design to align the next stencil section. Then, check that it is level and start painting.

I absolutely love this stencil. I had never stenciled before and felt this was easy to use. I was able to transform my fireplace for under $30 and love the results. After watching some tip videos on YouTube, I applied adhesive spray to the back of the stencil and it really made things a lot easier. The adhesive removed easily with goo gone. I cleaned the paint off the stencil every 4 tiles or so. I used chalk paint for my project and sealed with 2 coats of Dixie Belle Gator Hide. Hope this helps someone 😊

This bathroom is my work bathroom. I felt it needed a makeover and this is what I decided to do. I loved the finished product. The stencil worked great. Only advice I can give is that you clean the stencil after a certain amount of time as the paint will bleed through when it is too heavy. I found myself stopping after I noticed it bled through in order to continue. This is my finished product - I notice the flaws but that's just me. I used the 6 x 6 stencil on the top tiles and 8 x 8 stencil on the floor.
Stop and clean in between so it won't bleed
