The Wild Wild West Revisited (1979) also stars Harry Morgan, Rene Auberjonois, Jo Ann Harris. And, More Wild Wild West (1980) finds West and Gordon back on the job once more as they set out to thwart a mad scientist's (Jonathan Winters) diabolical plans of global domination. - Reviewed in the United States on August 30, 2024This DVD is perfect! No blurry segments, bad audio, or other glitches. It played seamlessly in my old DVD player with nary a problem. The DVD was nicely packed to prevent shipping damage and it arrived quicker than anticipated.
I thoroughly enjoyed the content from so many years ago when I was a teen in high school. If you are a fan of the series, you’ll absolutely love these two videos.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2017Starting about 10 years ago CBS/Paramount released the 4 season sets of Robert Conrad and Ross Martin's popular part sci fi, part history popular western series of the late 60s "The Wild Wild West" about 2 of then President Ulysses Grant's best secret service men to celebrate the show's 40th anniversary. When the series was released as a mega set a year after those discs were released, that set was released with a bonus disc: these 2 films and fans who had already spent their money on the season sets screamed for a standalone copy to no prevail. Then a few years ago, Paramount reissued the mega set minus this disc, to attempt to amend their ways. Now finally fans who have still stalled to double dip and buy the out of print first mega set (or who bought the second one after the former and the season sets went out of print) can complete their collection be it the recent 2015 reissue or the 4 season sets of last decade with this very same 2fer of films released on TV in 1979 and 1980. In "Revisited" Robert T "Skinny" Malone (played similar to his famous Sherman T Potter by the late Harry Morgan) a supposedly inept agent in his younger days, now the head of Grover Cleveland's secret service sends a retired James West and Artemus Gordon after Songwriter Paul Williams as Miguelito Loveless Jr, the son of their arch rival for 10 episodes (played then for those who forgot by Michael Dunn in a bravura performance) with a bomb and duplicates of world leaders including President Cleveland to help him rule the world. In "More" they come back again this time to thwart Jonathan Winters as Albert Paradine who commits his destruction while invisible. Victor Buono appears as "Henry Messenger" the secretary of state. Also featured in both films is veteran comedy/drama actor Rene Auberjonois as Captain Sir David Edney, of the British secret service. So if you haven't finished your days of Jim and Arte or tired of watching the bad theatrical remake from 1999 with Will "Fresh Prince" Smith and Kevin Kline, get this disc and complete the cycle.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 21, 2017If you are a fan of "The Wild Wild West" as I am, you will love this set. First let me say, thank you to the makers for selling these as a set of two instead of bilking us for two separate movies like they did with other movies I won't mention. Psst (Gunsmoke).. Arte and Jim are in retirement, they've earned it right? Well, turns out Michelito Loveless has a son, a meglomaniacal son, worse than he was, who keeps making mushroom clouds he can't figure out. He plans to rule the world etc. So, Jim and Arte are called out of retirement and the fun begins. In the second movie they are after Jonathan Winters as Albert Paradine aka APII who can turn invisible and of course is a megalomaniac who wants nothing less than world domination. Victor Buono plays "Henry Messenger" the secretary of state who is just as nutty as Paradine. Both movies are non stop fun and of course that golden West charm with the ladies. Well, when they are not trying to kill him that is. My only complaint was the mustache, I wear a stache and like them, but it just did not look right on West. Both movies come with subtitles and promo's for each movie. Both movies are on one disc, the video quality is about what can be expected for the time period. By todays' standards not so great, But by the standards of 1980, the quality is perfect. Buy the set, you will be glad you did, even if you are not a fan.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2024Item arrived on time in wonderful condition. Been after this one for a long time.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 16, 2017As a fan of Jim and Artie since the Sixties, I was delighted by WWW Revisited. It had all the energy, wisecracks, and quirkyness of the series. Paul Williams is outstanding as Miguelito, Jr and we get some classic robotic miming by Shields and Yarnell. Overall, a solid return for West and Gordon. So I would advise watching this AFTER More WWW to save the best for last. Regarding More WWW, just what in the H E double hockey sticks happened here!? Even the color is (and sound) inferior. I saw this being shown on one of the Turner channels not too long ago and the print was just as good as Revisited so I don't know what happened here. But it suits the tone as the jokes fall flat and the plot is meandering and uninteresting. How this can be with Jonathan Winters and Victor Buono in the cast is hard to explain. Burt Kennedy directs both and the ideas foreshadowing the 20th century of World Wars, peace talks, and Vegas gambling are good, but the parts don't add up to a good whole. Look closely for Emma Samms as she is COMPLETELY wasted in this (one very brief scene). However, WWW Revisited is worth the price of admission alone, so buy it for that!

- Reviewed in the United States on August 23, 2019Unlike the original series which tried to stay serious; this 2 DVD set is tongue in cheek all the way through. The movies poke fun at themselves and that period of the late 70's and early 80's when the two made for TV movies were made. Anybody who did not grow up in that time period might not pick up on the references and winks and nods given to issues we were confronting at the time. Sadly a TV show like this could not be made today because of the PC culture that has destroyed most things that at one time we were all adult enough and mature to laugh at and not take seriously. We had a sense of humor back then. Maybe we can put these movies in a time vault where they can remain until we have a new renaissance and people in a new era will be allowed to laugh and have fun again?
- Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2025I liked the first reunion movie. Not so much the second. Both are on here, though, to complete your collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wild Wild Bargain
Very good quality but be warned it is in the NTSC video format. My DVD player can display this format so check that yours can before ordering. The two films are really good and very funny.

4.0 out of 5 stars It was ok but looks like spending more money out for a decent dvd case.
The quality of the dvds are not has good has the 4 seasons that came out before. The dvd case is the worst cheapest dvd case i have ever seen.
