Like most of the other reviewers, I thought this game was too short, and i wish it would've had a bonus game as part of the package. That said, it was a fun interactive game. There was a lot more dialogue in this game than any of the Artifex Mundi games I've played so far. This game utilizes teamwork between other in-game characters and shows their image in a box near the top of the page, so the player can keep track of who's talking. There aren't as many Hidden Object games in this game, but there are plenty of mini games that help build the story line. There are collectibles to find, but they aren't easy to locate. I've played the game several times now and found about half so far. The scenes and artwork are good, but not as captivating as their other games, which may explain why i can't find the collectibles. I do like this game because it's different than their other games in a refreshing way. I plan on playing it several more times and at more challenging levels. The characters caught my attention immediately and story created an intriguing trip into Arabian tales. It's worth playing.
This is a fairly good game. The graphics are not extremely advanced, but they are more than sufficient. The idea of the spells needing ingredients has been done, but this was done very well. You have to defend yourself several times following a sequence of 3 actions. These are interesting. I do get bored when certain parts turn others to their opposite colors, but 2 out of 3 being interesting is good enough. A good plot. The ending is very corny, but that is simply the way most of these games are.
There are a limited number of hidden object scenes. Thank you! The minigames are mostly easy, but several honestly took some thought. Again, thank you. Like the title. I enjoyed playing. It played a little short since there is no bonus round, and the play is not extended by endless hidden object scenes. Up to you how you balance long vs. Infinite hidden objects. I feel that when games take up time with searches for long lists of objects that have nothing to do with anything, they are a vast waste. This avoided that. All to the good.
Yeah, SHORT and EXPENSIVE! Most definitely 👎NOT worth 7 bucks. I played it in a single evening, and if you think that this high priced game has a bonus game OR even a strategy guide - think again! There isn't! The story was transparent and stale (when you can guess the end in the first 5 minutes!) The graphics were good, puzzles and HOs were o.k., -some of the voice acting wasn't great -the cursing wasn't necessary and retracted from the game! I'm the end,I just don't think it's worth more stars because it was SO short!
This game has too many cut scenes. There's lots of waiting while the characters talk. You can skip that, but sometimes they give beneficial information. You're forced to interact with another character while he mansplains each situation to you. There are too many scenes and only 2-3 tasks in each scene. There are some tasks that you can open up but won't respond at all unless you've done something else first.
What a fantastic visual and sound experience. Story was good, I can't remember when I played a game about Persia. Nice change of pace for sure, no ghosts, pirates etc. Really excited since this is the first new game I've been able to get on my out dated kindle fire hd 8.9 in like 6 weeks, and I REFUSE TO PAY 4.99 for updated games I bought already like 2-3 years ago (SHAME ON YOU BIG FISH). Wish it had a bonus game though, too short or maybe I didn't want it to end. Worth every penny.
This game is not worth the $ or the time. Too much dialogue, long transitions between levels, super easy puzzles and some repeat from level to level. I feel like they’re just dialing it in and cranking out games with fewer features at increased prices.
Don't be put off by the reviews saying there's too much talk and not enough action. A lot of the talk with Darius is optional, thankfully, as he's an arrogant prat early on who needs a good smack or three. However, he comes around when Tara ends up rescuing him. The other conversations are actually quite well done, and useful, which is a departure from the standard afterthought, poorly voiced conversation in many games. You do have to ignore Tara's outbursts of oh no's and periodic helplessness, but at least she calls Darius on the carpet a few times. If you don't want to deal with Darius's trying company so much, there's nothing you can't figure out on your own without it. Who he is is clear from scene one. The puzzles are a bit standard but have a few new twists, the music is perfect, and the scenes gorgeous and imaginative. Worth the cost - just ignore the annoying bits. Oh, and Darius does NOT get all the credit at the end. Not with the group that saves Persia. What Persia thinks is frankly left nebulous. Also, this game at least tries to have two characters work together as equals to save the day - I've seen helpers a lot, but no other game of this sort that has virtual characters of the same level. So kudos for that.
Ottimo gioco. È della serie che piace a me. Trovare oggetti, dedurre azioni. Gli aiuti si ricaricano velocemente. Bella grafica e non ci sono acquisti da fare (finalmente).
I really did enjoy the game. Fantastic graphics and good story line. Only 4 stars given though because there's a lot of talking and no bonus game! Which I was rather bumed at.
