              Dr. Glenn N. Levine is Master Clinician and Professor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and Chief of the Cardiology Section at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. Dr. Levine is recognized locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally for his clinical and educational abilities and expertise in cardiovascular disease. He has given on the order of 200 invited talks, presentations, and grand rounds throughout the country and internationally.

              Dr. Levine is the recipient of six Baylor College of Medicine Fulbright & Jaworski and Norton Rose Fulbright Faculty Excellence Awards; the prestigious Baylor College of Medicine Master Clinician Lifetime Award; the Baylor College of Medicine Robertson Jr. Presidential Award for Excellence in Education; the American Heart Association Clinical Council’s Distinguished Achievement Award; and the American College of Cardiology’s Gifted Educator Award.

              Dr. Levine has authored or edited a total of thirteen medical textbooks and handbooks, several of which have additionally been published internationally in different languages, including Russian, Lithuanian, Vietnamese, and Spanish. He has authored or co-authored a total of seventy-three book chapters and seventy-eight medical journal articles. He has also written or been featured in several dozen electronic or web-based educational programs, including webinars and audio programs.

              Dr. Levine has led and first-authored six American Heart Association Scientific Statements, and chaired or co-chaired multiple national cardiology guidelines and guideline updates. He has also served as chair of the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association Joint Task Force on Clinical Practice Guidelines, for several years leading and supervising the nation’s cardiovascular guidelines.

              More recently, he has turned his attention to writing and lecturing on meditation, psychological health, wellness, and the mind-heart-body connection. He recently authored the book Take Back Control of Your Mind.

              Socially, Dr. Levine is a passionate advocate of animal rescue and adoption and the humane treatment of animals, and belongs to and supports over a dozen such advocate and animal rescue organizations. He tries to practice a balanced approach to life, including meditation and mindfulness.

              He lives in Texas with his wife and their three rescue dogs.

                The book is excellent. It came damaged. I contacted the seller right away and they responded within 24 hrs and they requested pictures as evidence. They responded within the same day and issued a replacement. Very happy with this process.
