Robert W. Cohen was born in the Bronx, New York in 1956. He grew up just a few miles from Yankee Stadium, rooting for the Yankees and New York Football Giants. After spending many years working in a large corporate environment, he began writing professionally in 2004. His first published work, "A Team For The Ages: Baseball's All-Time All-Star Team" clearly reflects his great love of the game of baseball, and also his vast knowledge of the sport. A sports historian, Robert has appeared on numerous sports-talk radio programs around the nation to discuss his previously published works. His first non-sports book was released in December of 2008. A labor of love, "My Life With Rusty" describes the unique 14-year relationship he shared with his first cat, Rusty, who he lost to cancer in February of 2003. Robert returned to his primary area of expertise in his June 2009 release entitled "Baseball's Hall of Fame - Or Hall of Shame?" - the most comprehensive book ever written on the Baseball Hall of Fame. His next work,"MVP," which provides an in-depth look at baseball's Most Valuable Player Award, was released in August 2010. Robert later assumed the position of Content Manager, Editor, and Contributing Writer at the internet website known as TheBaseballPage.com. In addition to writing numerous player bios and various historical articles on the national pastime, Robert reviewed, edited, and managed the website's entire content, including sharing with readers his various player rankings. He has since had close to 30 other books published, the first of which, "The 50 Greatest Players in New York Yankees History," was released in April of 2012. His next book, "The 50 Most Dynamic Duos in Sports History," was released in November of 2012. He followed that up with "Pro Basketball's All-Time All-Stars: Across The Eras," which was released in February of 2013. Robert subsequently authored "The 50 Greatest Players in St. Louis Cardinals History," which was released in August of 2013. His next two books, "The 50 Greatest Players in New York Giants Football History" and "The 50 Greatest Players in Boston Red Sox History" were both released in the summer of 2014. The second of those works, which presents to the reader the best players ever to perform for the Yankees' greatest rival, clearly demonstrates Robert's objectivity and appreciation of baseball history. His next two books, "The 50 Greatest Players in New England Patriots History" and "The 50 Greatest Players in Detroit Tigers History," were both released in the fall of 2015. Keeping himself quite busy, Robert had three more books released in the spring of 2017, with those works being entitled "The 50 Greatest Players in Dodgers History," "The 50 Greatest Players in Cubs History," and "The 50 Greatest Players in New York/San Francisco Giants History." Robert followed those books up with "The 40 Greatest Players in Boston Celtics History" and "The 50 Greatest Players in Dallas Cowboys History," both of which were released in the fall of 2017. His next work, "The 50 Greatest Players in Indians History," came out in the spring of 2018. Robert then had "The 50 Greatest Players in Green Bay Packers History" released in the fall of 2018, before "The 50 Greatest Players in Pittsburgh Steelers History" and "The 50 Greatest Players in Philadelphia Eagles History" both hit bookstores in September 2019. Robert subsequently authored "The 50 Greatest Players in Chicago Bears History" and "The 50 Greatest Players in Kansas City Chiefs History," both of which came out in the fall of 2020. Robert's next two books, "The 50 Greatest Players in San Francisco 49ers History" and "The 50 Greatest Players in Minnesota Vikings History," were both released in August 2021. Robert then authored "The 50 Greatest Players in Philadelphia Phillies History," which came out in April 2022, and "The 50 Greatest Players in Cleveland Browns History," which hit bookstores in November 2022. Scheduled for release in 2023 are "The 50 Greatest Players in Braves History" (April) and "The 50 Greatest Players in Buffalo Bills History" (September or early October). Robert currently lives in northern New Jersey.

The single greatest day in my childhood was when my dad took me to the Polo Grounds for the first time in the summer of 1957. That said, I needed to buy Robert Cohen's 50 Greatest Players and I wasn't disappointed. This relatively short book was loaded with details of my boyhood team. The work was well researched and organized . I learned so much about the very early players from the turn of the 20th century through World War 1. I was also pleased that Mr. Cohen agreed with most Giants fans that #24 was the Greatest New York/ San Francisco Giant of all time.

These books were gifts. In the inside of one several pages were bent in half and badly creased. The price which was on the outside upper right corner will not come off without tearing the jacket cover. Very disappointed

AMAZON Ad displays a bit of irony...
"One of the most storied teams in the MLB, the Chicago Cubs are always a team to beat."
Or is this author Robert Cohen showing his Bronx roots?
No - Robert's cool. He wrote me to say "Extremely valid point, Malcolm. Unfortunately, my publisher wrote the book's promo without consulting me first. If they had, the promo would have read much differently."
I just KNEW Robert wouldn't have made a goof like that and hope to sell any copies here in Chicago!
