    This table pad works well. The top is vinyl and has a slick surface. I was concerned that a tablecloth would slide off but the cloth held well on top of the pad. The backing is felted and worked to protect my table from warm dishes; I would recommend using a trivet for really hot dishes.

    I also appreciated how easy it was to cut the table pad to size and that it didn't have massive wrinkles, an issue noted in reviews for similar products online. It didn't have a chemical smell, again a complaint with other table pads. It folds up easily for storage too. This is a great item and should last a lifetime of use.
