    These are great bulbs for a purple decorative look. I have strings of backyard party lights with different colored bulbs and have always wanted some to be purple. The incandescent type are available but do not put out much light (incandescents just don't make much purple). And a lot of bulbs claiming to be purple actually look pink when on.
    These purple LED bulbs are great--a pure deep purple and the right brightness to fit in with other colors and types of bulbs. They also dim nicely--they seem to stay a little brighter than other bulbs, or maybe the purple just pops out more, but it is a good look when the lights are dim and these purple stand out a little bit.
    The shipping cost is high, but they should last a lifetime. I ordered another set already.
