The one hour episodes in "Years of Living Dangerously" show that patriotism has a great number of manifestations. In looking at power stations in India, water use in California, rainforests in Brazil, and several other challenges the celebrity hosts -- namely David Letterman, Don Cheadle, Gisele Bundchen, and others -- bring the issues to light. The documentary is so good most people will see it one year, then see it again a few years later and be equally impressed. The journeys, interviews, and commentary by these climate activists and speakers are about as good as it gets with documentary film. Worth sharing with friends and family. If we don't act on climate and natural resource problems it won't be the fault of these people or the media but because --while there are economic benefits from efficiency and most alternative energy sources -- advanced energy systems will also require some very large financial expenditures paid for by national governments.

Great human interest series on impacts of climate change. Very helpful for illustrating that climate change starts with changes in temperature but has many implications for the systems that we rely on to sustain human lives. In particular, I like to see the connections between drought and national security and international migration and conflicts. It's also great to see stories on issues related to military readiness for the sea level rise that continues to occur as our planet warms. Many great vignettes throughout the series help to enlighten viewers who may be unaware of what the world already faces and potential issues to come.

Years of Living Dangerously is a very important & informative tv series. This is the 2nd season. I'd recommend that everyone see it & hopefully pass it on to others. It'll enlighten whoever watches it to problems in our environment they never knew about. Can't recommend it highly enuff. Both seasons include actors who travel around the world educating themselves & us, including Jack Black, David Letterman, Don Cheadle, Arnold Schwarzenegger & many others. I couldn't believe what was going on around the world that I had no clue about. Pls watch them

Each of the nine episodes highlights an environmental problem, usually in two different locations. For example one episode underlines the danger of sea level rise in Miami while describing studies of ocean sediments that show a correlation between warm ocean temperatures and hurricanes. It's very well done, with various celebrities acting as narrators. Since it was made in 2016, some of the politics is already a little out of date.

All gratitude goes to the makers of the "Years" series! They have done a most excellent job of showing climate change action as achievable, uplifting, having bipartisan appeal, and being a true contribution to all of humanity.

Especially inspiring was Episode 7, which highlighted Citizens' Climate Lobby, and one of its many amazing volunteers, Jay Butera, who works with total dedication toward bipartisan understanding of the economic value that having national legislation establishing a steadily-rising fee on carbon - with a monthly check sent to American households -- can bring to our country, and to our states.

Gripping presentation of the business and job opportunities of solar, and of the repression of this by the public utilities and politicians in Nevada and Florida. The contrast with the outstanding efforts by politicians and business men in India to promote solar is so very well illustrated by David Lettermen's striking tour of India. So much new information is revealed of the real issues so few of us know about.

Very, very, little science. But if you want to see celebrities (and sometimes their pretty wives) expressing shock at the consequences of climate change, then this is for you. The first two episodes of season 2 were not nearly as good as season 1.

A must watch. 3 DVD's. First two are hard because change for some things is slow while others is faster than expected. Third is somewhat encouraging. Progress on National legislation for a revenue neutral carbon fee and dividend program to help control our emissions is speeding up. You get to see how citizens climate lobby volunteers have an impact.
