I was not sure what to expect with this but was pleasantly surprised. There are some songs to just listen to but several were educational as well--that told the story of the writer of the song. Some were patriotic such as "The Star Spangled Banner" that used all the verses that most of us probably have not heard before. I bought it thinking of my grandchildren. They have not heard it yet but I enjoyed it.

Great way to bring these stories to life. ( I’ve never enjoyed the book, Zin Zin Zin a Violin, but I really like the video version, for example)I’m a music teacher and can leave this for subs who aren’t musically trained.

I absolutely love these Scholastic videos. We often put on the closed captioning when watching them so the kids can see the words while watching--just like being read a story! It's a great substitute for those crazy days when I can't sit down and read to them myself. Recommended!

So cute! A great option for parents or caregivers who don't want their kids spending tons of time sacked out in front of the television but also need a little break. My three year old niece really enjoyed the stories and it brought me back to my childhood.

As a teacher and parent, I love all these classic and beloved children's illustrated picture books. Some have read along captions, animation, and music with outstadning narration. The price is fantastic for 20 stories.

They don't say in the descriptions, but this has a lot of Hispanic and black portrayals. Not a problem in general, but it's heavily geared in that direction. Would have been nice to know. Just a heads up.

Also bought the 20 Animal Tales and my 2yp granddaughter LOVES those! We watch those constantly!!

As a second-grade teacher, I find the entire line of Scholastic Story Time read-along books to be an excellent and entertaining use of media to encourage literacy skills and familiarity with high frequency words!

Our family has enjoyed this series and it is a good way to fill time. The art from the books varies and provides a lovely contrast. Affordable and gives you an idea about what the books are like before purchasing them.

Poor quality. When received, it was scratched... lots of skipping and errors. It's really not that great of quality.
