The color is vibrant and much better then the photos , there is even a great spot for attaching ID tags separate from the leash hook up and a locking buckle for those who love to escape or play rough loosing their collar in the meantime a feature which I really love.. 😀
I have now bought one for all 4 of my dogs. Not to mention it has some great reflective materials. It is very well made . True to size and very functional.

WHAT IS A MARTINGALE COLLAR?
The main difference between a martingale collar and a regular collar is that it tightens up as a dog pulls. The purpose of this is not to choke a dog, but to prevent a dog from escape the collar. Many dogs have heads that are the same size or smaller than its neck. With a regular collar, when a dog backs up from up, it may be able to slip a regular collar. With a martingale collar, when this happens, the collar tightens and prevents it from come up over a dog's head.

PROPER SIZING
Our martingale collars are measured fully extended. When measuring your dogs neck, please measure his neck near the top portion and be sure to press down through all its fur to get an accurate measurement. Most people do not press down the fur to get a correct measurement. This leads to them over measuring their dog's neck and then ordering a size that is too large.
When the collar is on your dog, the metal pieces at the ends should not touch. The nylon portion attached to the D-ring should be extended. If you pull on the D-ring and the collar does not tighten, then the collar is too large and must be adjusted smaller.
GREAT FOR TRAINING
A martingale collar also tightens if the dog is pulling on a leash. You can give your dog slight corrections and it will respond much better than if it were wearing a regular collar.

Size Difference is crazy
This was my 4th purchase of one of these collars, my previous 3 have been “X-Small” as shown on the left in my picture. One of my girls has felt tight lately and I couldn’t loosen it anymore. So I thought, okay let me buy a “Small” and the bulkiness of the small is just crazy. My dog is a miniature schnauzer. I wish there was an option to keep the small/thin/lightweightness of the X Small but with a longer length. I’m not sure yet if going to keep and give this a go or return and go with another brand. Just feel like it’s going to be too bulky on my girl.

As this is only my preference I award 4⭐️ for the reliability of this collar: the snap-buckle has a sliding lock so it’s secure in case of accidental release (I’ve yet to see another like this) and the martingale collar is always loose on the neck until tightened.
