    this will work perfectly for our work holiday party. it does show through a bit, but its really not a big deal since we'll be putting centerpieces on, and we'll just throw them away after. Not sure why people are upset with a little see through, any plastic, disposable table cloth you get from walmart (etc) will be able to see through. The burgundy color has very little see through, if that's really going to bother you, spend a little more money for cloth table covers.

    I wrote a review earlier today annoyed because the roll I received appeared to only be 20" wide rather than the 40" it is advertised as. It turns out, the plastic is actually folded in half. So a 20" roll is really 40" width. I'm much happier with it now! However, the plastic is quite thin which is why I took one star off. It'll still function as intended though.

    The coral color that we ordered is much darker than it looks in pics, but if you are using it like we are it won’t matter as much.

    There are plastics with fabric-like textures, and when reading about this table cloth, I actually expected it to feel like velvet cloth on one side (...you know...like velvet Christmas ribbon). The name should be changed to Charcoal Black as not to deceive. I ordered two rolls to make faux window treatments for a formal event, and to my shock...opening the box the day before the event (it was too late to send them back) I realized that "velvet" was nowhere to be found! Please know that VELVET is a texture - -not a color, so this color name is deceptive.
